WOW.

The tiger rant is actually defending hiring Houston Nutt.

We would be an international laughing stock. The guy couldn't even sustain what Ed orgeron brought to Ole Miss.

eta: Yep, I said international. Everyone with a pulse would point and laugh

I'd like John Gruden being around. I'd bet he could recruit great, with a similar staff. And I believe he would be good to.

But you never know if a pro coach really wants to invest the time to build solid a successful program winning games while mentoring the youth to help them grow as a people

It's a lot different.

Petrino would be successful here regardless of what anybody says. We would be a laughing-stock for hiring him. And I and many others find him to be..... kinda sleezy//////rather I say not being fond of him. But imagine: while sitting around disliking our new coach, Petrino would use talent like he's never had to assemble the most prolific offense in the SEC

Houston Nutt.
Even if I thought He would be good here, I still wouldn't want Him to be hired. Don't want a coach who's name sounds like something you have after a blackout drunk with the local bar winch.

I just can't believe the rant has sunk this low. a couple on here would rather have Houston Dale Nutt before Les.

I'd be an alumnus that supported every sport but football if he were to be hired. he's just that bad, and it's astounding there's a minority that would welcome him to Baton Rouge. Plain and simple, he' a fricking clown

These "fire Les" clowns just keep getting dumber and dumber, it seems.

Nutt could be what we need to unite the fanbase.

Because I don't think ANYBODY wants this clown.

The only coach Saban recommend to replace him was Kurt F @ Iowa.

Ed O brought a boat load of NFL talent to Oxford, and Nutt didn't go a single season without losing at least 4 games. It was such a consistent decline, by year four Jacksonville State bent Ole Miss over.

Just let that sink in for a second.

Whether people like it or not, Les has earned the right to fix this. Whether it be firing Brisket Brick or letting multiple heads roll, he's proven he can inevitably fix things.

But man, "let's go out and hire Houston Nutt". that's rich. Pure gold, tigerdroppings

Considering Houston Nutt is a retarded con artist, I'd go with no.

He has been here ten years.

By your logic, Fulmer earned the right to fix that situation too. Would bet you that many UT fans were happy he was terminated.

Beamer is another modern example. He doesn't deserve a chance to "fix" anything. He needs to be fired.

Yeah, and look how that worked out for them. You'll see plenty of Tennessee fans that would agree he deserved a chance to rite the ship

I guess Urban Meyer didn't deserve time to fix that 2010 fiasco at florida either. Bear bryant lost 5 games back-to-back years in the late 60s. can his arse too.

Beamer is an outlier. Virginia Tech was nothing before him. he does a good job of making chicken salad out of chicken shite. Plus, Les has accomplished a lot more than Beamer. It's not even practical to compare the two

it's a total moot point anyways. we don't have the money to fire him if we wanted to, so we might as well look for realistic alternatives

eta: No, I am not saying Les is Bear Bryant by any stretch of the imagination. But it's the principle of giving him the benefit of the doubt for losing so many underclassmen. No one would take the LSU job if we fired a coach with his record, especially the way the West looks these days
