Yep I heard it. Williams is awesome in that weekly slot BTW. Said his kid couldn't make an easy throw after Whitfield had him. Looks like Harris fits that same description.

Whitfield may not have worked for Harris, but equating him to some fraud is a bit much. These gurus don't transform bad QBs to good ones, but they do help sharpen QBs who already have natural talent.

This is no different than calling Sean Foley a fraud because Tiger Woods can't win a major under his tutelage. They didn't work out together, but it doesn't mean that the instructor is a fraud.

Any of those gurus are shams. I still think if the nfl would have let Tebow be himself he'd have been alright. Here was a real conversation between Mike Holmgren and Chuck amato when recruiting phillip rivers.

Amato- I have this qb I'm recruiting but his motion is unorthodox.
Holmgren- does he complete passes?
Amato-yes
Holmgren- then leave him alone.

Whitfield has worked with Harris. He talked about it during Harris' last 2 years at LSU.

However, you probably won't hear him mention it anymore.

I mean Whitfield may not have worked out for Harris. Sorry for the confusion.

I think Slackster meant working with Whitfield didn't work for Harris.

Whitfield definitely has a better track record than the coaching Harris is getting here.

Whitfield doesn't "develop" QB's, he gives them personal training for a couple days a year. Cam Cameron has developed guys into very good QB's.

Harbaugh
Elvis Grbac
Made Gus Frerotte and Trent Green Pro-Bowlers with the Redskins.
Randle El
Brees
Rivers
Flacco

He's had good offenses everywhere he's been. He's not the reason the offense is bad.

I heard that interview and was really surprised but I guess that's why Harris can't complete screen passes or 5 yard outs

This really could be the issue because with those type of passes, it's about quick release and touch both of which Harris lacks at the moment. There was a story over the summer of Harris at the Manning Academy in which he was over throwing everything.

Les is obviously the problem but what I will put on Cameron is that you'd think in the extremely limited playbook Les allows him to operate from our players should be close to masters of this shite. Teams will clearly catch on and take stuff away but we shouldn't have such problems executing our limited playbook.

I agree. This goes to my point about BH & his natural ability when he arrived in BR. Perhaps he didn't need to change anything mechanically in his throwing motion. If you go to an instructor I can damn well guarantee you that will happen based on my personal experience. That's what they get paid to do. Perhaps he needed to study "the game" & "his game" more. Find your weakness & try to improve upon it.

Tiger in my opinion started searching for the perfect swing. AKA for golfers, the meaning of life. After Harmon there was Haney, after Haney there was Foley. He was never the same after Harmon.
No instructor would advise you to swing like Jim Furyk. Dude shot 58 a few weeks ago.

The problem with Whitfield is that he's a clone teacher.. He's a quality QB coach and understands mechanics.. Unfortunately, some players don't fall into his style and when he changes natural tendencies, the results can be mixed.. The universal qualities in high level qb's are release time and accuracy.. How you get those two things is not as important as the result..

Being predictable as shite doesn't really help execution though...
