"I find it interesting that the man in the REPLAY booth at the ALA/LSU game was Gen. Dick Burleson..a man that lives in Blount County ALA and often speaks at Bama club meetings for $$$...and also wrote a book called 'You Better Be Right"...which was a quote from his good friend Bear Bryant. Hmmmmmmm not only is Alabama paying Nick Saban and their players...they are also paying officials!"

there is one website that confirms this...

mbd.scout.com/mb

it says he was the replay supervisor...he has also been involved in quite a few controversial calls...

Can any of this be proven to be factual?

I'm just relaying information that I have been given and information directly from Mr. Burleson's own website. I have not spoken with anyone at the SEC office, nor do I expect the SEC office to comment on this, FWIW.

Gerald Hodges was the replay official according to ESPN

There are two. The replay official and the Supervising communications official (Burleson)

If you read the first sentence in the original post, he states this.

but the man is of insanely high character. He did not influence that call BTW
He is compensated to speak at Bama booster club events, yet he still officiates their games? If so, do you see the contradiction between your assertion and those facts?

yep he can have all the character he wants but being that he is from ALABAMA, was friends with bryant and speaks at bama booster clubs for money all adds up to possible bias and in no way should he be allowed in a sec replay booth or anything that can influence a sec game, especially anything to do with alabama and auburn. People have weaknesses even high character people. bama is starved for a sec title and shot at a national title so its possible that mr. high and mighty character let a slight personal bias get in the way here.

if I ever see this guy I might take one for the team and go to jail for assault

LSU might not have won, but they damn sure would have covered

i want to know why the sec would have someone with that many bama ties in a fricking replay booth. even if he wasn't corrupt why lend any credibility to the sec cheating rumors by putting a guy with a high chance of having a bias in the booth of a alabama game.

something is fishy

No, decided to unsticky when I re-read the original post and saw that the guy was "possibly" in the booth.
