This young man continues to impress. His leadership and talent are unparalleled. They lost two of their brothers last week, so it’s understandable for the team to be upset. But for White to command the floor speaks bounds about him and his leadership. I sure as hell hope he continues to be dominant on and off the field.

I’ve always said White is the guy you want to rooot for.

He is awesome on the field, in the locker room and behind at the press conference.

If he continues to dominate on the football field we need to get behind this young man for a Heisman campaign.

Jacob Phillips said Devin White did most of the talking during the players-only meeting last Wednesday.
What’d White say? “He said a lot.”

The article on Nola.com makes this players only meeting sound awful. O losing the team before a snap is taken?

quote:

My whole was deal was just to push through camp," Battle said. "It was getting to the grind of it. Everybody's minds talking to themselves. 'Oh, I'm tired. I don't want to practice.' Just trying to motivate them and keep everybody going." None of the players would go into the specifics of the meeting, as it was a private team matter, but they all admitted there were tensions. "We got a lot of things going on that we don't agree with," Battle said, "but a lot of things have taken place, so we were just making sure guys stay on track, keeping everybody accountable. Protect the team at all costs."

I read it but have a hard time believing all of the doom and gloom. The kids needed to get all of this crap (transfers, Suspensions, Arrests,etc...) off of their chest. And it sounds like they did.

There’s leaders all over the defense and at all levels. Who are the offensive leaders?

Yessir, you're right Devin White is awesome. He is exactly the type of person we want leading this program.

They didn’t lose two of their brothers. Two of their brothers quit on them. The fact that they needed a players only meeting to discuss that is laughable

I feel like I’m taking crazy pills. Teams do not generally need a players only meeting before the season even starts

Probably not the same as when the 3rd chair tuba player transfers. Stay in your lane, band nerd.

That's not all that happened in the offseason.

Tyler Taylor
Ed Ingram
Kristian Fulton
QB room

And perhaps other stuff we know nothing about. Team leaders trying to keep the team focused during this time is what you hope for.
