believe LSU's offense ranked 44th in the nation this past season.
you believe wrong. we finished 36th in the country in offensive yards per game and the only reason it wasn't higher is because of our ball controlled scheme that limits our amount of plays ran
LSU finished the season ranked 11th in offensive yards per play. but because we were 116th in plays ran per game it's hurt our offensive totals.
Only 10 teams ,in all of cfb, were more successful when the ball was snapped.

Go look at stats for our TE's versus McNeese TE's (stats) and get back to us.
I think we should utilize our TE's more, by the way.
I wouldn't go too much on last year's stats. Our new O.C. Landon Hoefer is a Mike Leach disciple. I bet our offense gets opened up a little next season.

If they had not come to LSU, the negatiger nation would have been unhappy that they did not get recruited by LSU and sign.
These recruits are almost like a draft pick. They have potential, but they have to go up against people in practice who are just as good or better, and sometimes don't get the playing time because they are down in the depth chart.

What I don't understand is tight ends have played a huge role in Cam's offenses with Antonio Gates and Pitta in Baltimore.

What has smith done that leads you to believe he should take catches away from jeter?
Jeter was one of the most pleasant surprises on the team this past year.

That's true, but this is Les Miles offense.

Football Outsiders, which is a well respected site, has LSU's offense as 12th in FBS this year. LINK

Won our conference this year, so, yeah.
And there are a hell of a lot more sensible people on our board than this shite hole produces.
I just love assholes that don't know shite about FCS football, and act like it's some kind of "minor league".

Bruh, there's a reason why conferences are starting to prohibit scheduling FCS teams, why many sites eliminate any stats earned against FCS teams, and why the accepted term for an FCS team is a "cupcake". GTFO with your stupid shite.

That is exactly what it is.

Well, it is. And in a few years no power 5 conference will even schedule FCS teams.

I don't blame him for wanting to leave

What?! I can think of two interceptions Jeter could have prevented if he would have used that big body and grabbed the ball. Jeter is not effective in the passing game. When he does catch the ball he tries to juke DBs instead of running them over.

Yep and they go to the NFL and blow up! That IS on Miles along with his 4 straight losing Novembers!
What TEs blew up? What player has blown up?
The leading receiver in LSU history at TE is Dickson. Did it under Miles. He never matched his stats at LSU in the NFL.
You guys are freaking ridiculous. Shepard catches one freaking pass and every one says he is misused. Umm he's going to be a career ST guy, just like at LSU. Same with James wright. Wright caught 3 fricking passes and everyone shat all over the coaches. There I was saying he would never match his numbers at LSU. He didn't.

Any update on OU812 and tubucoco's claims about all these tight ends at lsu that leave lsu and blow up in the nfl? Should make for some fun Sunday evening laughter.
