You're moving the goal posts. LSU should be expected to score more than 14 points in sec games.

And yet there is a thread about one of your TEs potentially leaving for McNeese.
Plus all the bitching about not having the McNeese game.
Yeah, yall really don't give a shite about McNeese.....Please.
WOW, a coach left for a higher paying job! Big freaking whoop! shite happens all the time. Remember yalls god, Nick Saban, leaving for Miami?
ahhhh I get it.....you're retarded. Carry on little buddy

the problem with our offense is that it's FAR too reliant on the big play
I thinks it's because the coaches know Harris struggles woth timing routes and they know he had pretty deep ball.
Though I'll never be sorry that we had multiple players that can take one 50-60 yards or in LF'S case 70 yards, it did seem like all or nothing numerous times.

D and Quinn should have never come here
i was roasted for saying that irl here in LC at the time, but it was just stupid. they do not fit what our team wants
Hope both are thinking about going to McNeese. Hoeffer seems like he will run wide open. They'll get their touches here.
What's the word around town?

Instead he has come to the realization that he has no shot to realize his dreams and go to the nfl because his coaches put him in a position to lose.
The argument against Les is he's putting more players in the league than any school yet loses games. So that means every other college that plays football has less players realizing their dream of the NFL than ones at LSU.

Did you read the OP? According to him all he wants to do is at least get a chance to play and finish out a great senior season. NFL is probably 3rd on his mind now thanks to being underutilized.
Go look at stats for our TE's versus McNeese TE's (stats) and get back to us.
I think we should utilize our TE's more, by the way.

Im not moving anything.
No one outside of ole miss had success against bama.
We moved the ball against Ole miss but couldn't finish the drives.
We shouldn't be stopped by Arky but bama had 60 yards off offense more than we did against arky.
I know you don't think yardage means offense but it does mean the success your team has at moving the ball.
Scoring offensive points can be skewed by where the offense gets the ball.
If an offense gets the ball at the opponents 10 yard line and they score it doesn't prove their ability to consistently move the ball. It proves they went 10 yards

running game, too
even shite Ds like TTech and EMU shut down our rushing game (with terrible Ds) for long stretches until LF busted a long play

This is the kind of stuff that pisses me off. A kid like this would be being utilized at any other school.

Bullcrap.
There is a kid on the Chargers team from Southeastern Louisiana playing.
If the kid has the talent, the NFL will find him. Simple as that.
DeSean can develop the right habits at LSU. If he has the desire and talent, the NFL will come calling.

except elite receiving skills as a TE, which is important as a receiving TE

Do you seriously not believe they're working on this in practice?

yes
it doesn't fit with our offense
i mean our #1 TE is dillon gordon (and has been for a few years). if he gets a medical RS, he'll be our #1 next year
if dillon gordon is our primary TE, we're not working on receiving at the TE spot

They work with the receiver's in practice.
Underutilized, yes
Not being taught how to catch & play the position....nah

let me as you this
what would be a bigger issue
spending a lot of time working with dillon gordon in the receiving game or not really working on the receiving game b/c we never pass to TEs?
our offense relegates the TE to an OL with a number in the 80s. our offensive philosophy eliminates the middle of the field, which eliminates the vast majority of routes a TE should be running. so since we use them primarily as blockers and don't use their area of the field, why would we spend much time developing them as receivers? why would that even make sense?

Don't you guys think if he was a sure NFLer that he would be on the field more. For god sakes Foster Moreau came in as a true freshman and got more time than DeSean did. Could it be that he is just not as good as most of you professional analyst think he is.
Posted on 1/3/16 at 6:08 pm to jrctiger84
the issue is fit in our (dinosaur) offense
LSU should never have recruited desean or quinn b/c it was clear that LSU wasn't going to adapt its offense and they don't fit our offense

Never?
Maybe not enough...but we do throw to TE's
Smith should stay, get drafted and play in NFL. He can do ALL of that at LSU.

I believe LSU's offense ranked 44th in the nation this past season.
If that is your expectations, fine.

when was our last receiving TE drafted? the elder dickson?
Posted on 1/3/16 at 6:22 pm to SlowFlowPro
Zinger
13 drafted since 66
All he'd have to do is impress scouts.
