When I was a kid ( this will age me) VERY few LSU games were on TV. We listened on the Radio, by grandfather had a cow bell and everytime LSU scored he would ring the bell. That way if we were not listening to the game we knew LSU scored and then we would run in there and ask the score. I tear up think about this and my grand parents not being around to see the last two championship seasons. Good memories anyhow.

Don Schwab (#42) open field run for a touchdown against Tulane(?) in 63(?).

Describe a DEFINING IMAGE of LSU football from childhood
early childhood....going bonkers in the car with my Dad and bro' listening to Billy Cannon's punt return against Ole Miss.
extended childhood....Eddie Fuller's earth shaking catch. I was bartending at the time and totally fricked up two 'ritas I was making...it was ugly, broken glass in the ice ugly.

the USC game in tiger stadium..electric feel the whole night... we had them beat when on fourth down a def lineman brushed th qb face mask and it gave them a first down and we lost, but after the game everyone in the stadium cheered both teams when they left the field

Kevin Faulk in the Idependence Bowl 1995. Kicking Saban's arse with over 200yards rushing. And Eddie Kennison bringing a kickoff to the house.

Eddie Kennison #2, 100 yard punt return against Mississippi State. Everybody around was screaming "NONONO" when he fielded the ball at the goal line and then 20 yards later "GOGOGO." These were the Hallman years and there wasn't much to cheer about in those days.
He is still the most "exciting" receiver I remember seeing in Tiger Stadium.

Serving as an usher with the Boy Scouts in the 60's. Our Scout master would haul about six of us to every game in his old Ford station wagon. Back then we tried to escort every fan to his/her seat. We really worked our butts off before the game started. Were still required to seat late comers well into the first quarter.

In 2003 when Mauck hit Skyler Green in the back of the end zone for the winning TD against UGA!! That was one of the greatest moments I ever witnessed in Tiger Stadium....Then we went on to win the NC!

That was Big Red. He was awesome! He was at his best at the baseball games. When the opposing coach would walk out to the mound, Big Red would sound off to each step "Hup, Hup, Hup". It really ticked off the coach. The crowd would love it!!! You could hear him in TS and in the PMAC for basketball.

"The Punt Return" in 1959. Too bad we lost to the Vols the next week.

Bert Jones pass to Brad Davis in the back of the endzone with no time left. Amazing and still this day gives me chills.

Eddie Fuller catching that pass in the back of the end zone on 4th down in the "earthquake" game. I was 11 at the time and I can still remember it like it was yesterday. I was sitting in the south upper end zone where our family's season tickets were.
Same here. I was at a dance with my gf who went to Mt. Carmel at the time.
My dad picked me up and we listened to the game in his car.

I remember that 76 season-opener against Nebraska, a 6-6 tie, with Ferragamo as QB, and the Cornhuskers ranked #1.

I have shed tears in grief over a loss as a young child as my dad led my past the indian mounds to the truck. Only a few years later I remember sitting on his shoulders and watching the band march down the hill and later that night high fiving strangers in celebration of a big win. I fondly remeber the feeling of being a part of a huge family as we tailgated in years following. In my teens I sat under a poncho with my date in a down pour until the last play of game we were losing by 21. I have driven into the belly of a hurricane to sit in that concrete bowl of intimidation becasue it was the only game I could be at that year. And I still get goosebumps when I hear those 4 sacred notes on game day regardless of my location.

I had a #7 Bert Jones and a #37 Tommy Cassanova jersey.
