If he does well in the NFL, majority of this site will like him again. Maybe not to the extent that they did after his freshman year, but they will.

See Tyrann Mathieu

Tyrann Mathieu grew up. His image rehabilitation had nothing to do with his on-field play.

That’s fine. Don’t bitch when interest wanes and the golden goose keels over though.

No, just another quitter in a long series of quitters that permeated the last 5-7 years of the program.

The site is toxic and the players read this bullshite. From the racist OT to the political boards. LSU eats its own.

Hell no, was great as a freshman then after he looked like he might get hurt! I think he is over rated!

Immensely talented player that helped us win a title as a freshman. That can never be denied or taken away. However, there’s legitimate questions about not only his commitment to his team, but his desire to play this game long term. Everyone could see him opting out this year from a mile away and blaming it on injury. The fanbase just wishes a 5 star generational player could have give more than 1.5 years to the tigers.

So is Brennan a quitter too? Just trying to figure out which injuries are considered “quitting” these days and which ones are unfortunate breaks for GREAT TIGERS

He's as talented as Peterson, Claiborne and Mathieu, too much hate is directed his way.

Will he be remembered as the Ben Simmons of LSU football?

If you are talking about someone who quit on his team and was only looking out for HIMSELF.....um...YES

Well Brennan got “hurt” in a bizarrre non football accident and sat out basically all year and then threatened to leave and had to be sweet talked into staying. You think he wouldn’t be way out the door if he was a viable NFL prospect right now? Whoops can’t talk about him like that he’s a GREAT TIGER

(don't downvote Max for this, he's not agreeing with me.... I think)

I know the Tyrann - Sting situations aren't exactly the same, I'm more talking about some of the anti-Tyrann sentiment on here after his suspension/ before he "made it" in the NFL. That was much more prevalent (and negative) than a lot will admit, and also unwarranted (as I think a lot of the anti-Sting stuff is).

In the same way though, I think people will warm back up to Sting if he does well.

Chase might've been a better comparison, but I think people are still in the "re-warming" phase

Brennan has waited patiently for 5+ years to be the starter at a position that can only field one guy. He wants to get on the field and no one could blame him by exploring his options during a coaching change to actually play somewhere. Stingley got “hurt” in practice after being “hurt” most of his 2nd and 3rd year in the program. His effort at times when he was on the field was questionable at best. Not sure how you think these situations are comparable.

He had surgery and was in a boot. Do you think he had cosmetic surgery?
WTF is wrong with you?

Dude apparently thinks he was faking it. It’s amazing the lies we tell ourselves to confirm our predetermined biases.

Side note - I love the revisionist history about Stingley only having one good year. He was great last year and great this year til he got hurt.
