80% of the game. The "who starts at CB, Simon or Mathieu" discussion this offseason is one of the biggest moot points ever.

They're all going to be on the field almost every play, with Mathieu being the slot corner.

WTF is a fullback anyway? We have tight ends for that type of stuff.

Boone is in Shep's spot

Stud. Most impressive player I saw at the first scrimmage. Constantly open against 1st team defense.

or Minter

Exactly. Minter is the Mike in the 4-3 and Hatcher comes in when we go to Nickel or even the 4-2-5.

One thing I noticed, that seems somewhat ceremonial and a nod to the seniors, is that every Senior Letterman (except the one currently suspended) is listed on the depth chart. Obviously most of them should be anyway, but how often does a team list a 4-deep at TE. Or how often is Derrick Bryant in on defense vs special teams. I don't know, maybe I'm making too much of something that really isn't there.

Not a big deal, but I like it for some reason.

Shep was going to be the starting Z receiver, not 3-wide.

Agree, but wouldn't they simply have shifted Boone to the 3-wide if Shep was available, so that the starting three would be Randle, Boone, Shepard? Or you are you saying that Beckham has ascended to the number two WR overall? In any event, I was just wondering how good he has really been in practice.

This. Although the guy that runs that site is pretty decent, I bet this is not 100% accurate.

They were pulled from lsusports.net; the "Official home of LSU sports." Give it a rest.

Yes, they did. They said just a few weeks ago Claiborne and Simon would start at CB and Mathieu they like at nickel.

You post on the recruiting board. You should know not to look at stars.

3 weeks ago, According to this board, Landry was the hands down starter, no doubt.

No Beckham is number 3 on depth chart, but it doesn't always go that way. They swap players out constantly. Some plays you'll see RR, Boone, and Beckham. Others you might see RR, Wright, Boone or Beckham or Landry. The depth chart doesn't really determine the rotation, the coaches change up the rotation many times in any given game.

Stampley over Copeland? All indications pointed to Copeland being THE guy at fullback. Stampley is really not good.

Negative ghostrider. Mr. Dixon over at TSD confirmed this the other day.

Simon not starting at corner? The coaches were saying Simon would start at corner and Mathieu stay at nickel only...what happened?

We will be in Nickel so much this is a moot point.

quote:

Downs over Freak? Really? REALLY? Come on, Freak will play more, we all know this. Downs is not an every-down player.

Downs has experience, but once again we will go 4 deep at DT with a pretty good rotation so this is a moot point.

I really hope Minter starts over Hatcher at MLB, very concerning to me Hatcher can just come in and basically grab the spot Sheppard tutored Minter for 2 years in a row to take. Minter may not be living up to expectations. I really wanted to see Hatcher at SLB for Francois...just don't quite understand him as a MLB I guess.

Well, Chavis is a great LB coach so I will take his opinion over yours.
