Ginny Way is the main street in Blue Heron and we belong to the Y as well...they just built and opened their outside pools this year. My wife knows Dean Hazelwood very well, her name is Peggy Klein.

Yes, Dean that is his Dad name and Ginny Way. WOW...its all rushing back. Yeah I graduated HS with his son. We use to play poker and chill over there all the time. Dean would join us at times. What a small world. How did you wind up in CO? My parents are from New Iberia and my Dad graduated from LSU then got a job at IBM which moved him to Tuscon then Boulder and they have been living there for over 25 years. I've been a huge LSU fan all my life and decide to come to BR and really like it here but I miss Colorado everyday

Weird people are a good thing. Boulder doesn't have nearly as many "weird people" as people think they do however.

Maybe LSU could help CI with a $1 mil per year.

That's money well spent to get MIles' boot off the throat of this program.

Let's say Michigan is still Miles' dream job (I believe it always has been and always will be). If things get too hot in Baton Rouge, Miles might be lured away to go someplace "safer" where he can bide his time and keep himself on Michigan's radar and wait until the stars align at Michigan. He would have bolted for his dream job in 2007 but the timing was terrible. The Skipper shrewdly locked him up the week of the SECCG with a new contract to keep the team focused on a possible national title (a very wise move in the short term as it turned out).

So I think Miles will seriously think about any offers that may come his way in the next year or two. Colorado might be too far of a step down, but it's still an interesting project considering his history there and their move to the newly expanded Pac 12. McCartney thrived off SoCal recruits (far and away the most fertile recruiting ground west of the Rockies) and CU will be in the new Pac 12 South with one game a year in SoCal.

I think if Miles were an opportunist like Saban is/was, then he'd been taking a damn hard look at any offers and consider getting out while the getting is good. Especially if he doesn't sign Mettenberger...

Personally -- can't believe I'm saying this -- I think LSU should go after Spurrier if Miles leaves. Pay him an obscene amount of money and tell him his job is to beat the tar out of Florida and Bama. All involved will be selling our souls to the devil but it sure would be poetic justice to hire Spurrier to be our mercenary after Arnsparger left us to be AD @ Florida. It'd be fun to see if Spurrier could do with LSU's resources as opposed to Carolina's... and it would only add to the reputation the SEC has as a conference where we'll pay any price (even to former hated enemies) to vanquish the competition and bring home the crystal football. Deep down, I think Spurrier is damn hungry for another national title and it'll never happen at Carolina. And he knows it...

It's almost like some on here who have never been to Boulder are envious. I distinctly remember attending many concerts at the assembly center in the early to mid 70's and everyone was a "hippie".

It was that way into the late '70s. I enjoyed the concerts at the Assembly Center as much as the football games.

"Sterility" came along in the early '80s. Now, unless you look like the majority, you are a "hippy" or "weird".

Yes 1.9 million plus a great view is nice, but 3.8 million in a place where your family hears how stupid you are every day is not better. Also knowing that the expectations and pressure of winning are a lot less at Colorado where LSU is a hell of a lot more difficult.

Quality of LIFE becomes the issue when you have that kind of money already.

He may tell LSU adios and move from cancer alley to God's country.

I will lmao when Miles leaves here, and goes win back to back national championships for his next school, while our next HC delivers us back to back 7-5 seasons, with a Florida Gator type arrest record

I AM from Louisiana and FWIW I would take Boulder and many towns in CO over any place in Louisiana

Not so fast my friend.

I'm from Louisiana and I've lived in the West/Mountain West for many moons now. If it weren't for my children and my job - I'd be back home in a HEARTBEAT!!

Visiting an area versus living in an area doesn't compare properly. Sure, it's beautiful country but when that first snow dumps on your arse and the temps drop to single digits...you'll wish you were back in the south. Plus we have a different way of life in the south and it's something that's not prevalent out here. The sporting life is different, the nightlife is different...etc.

I'm not saying it's not a nice place to live but it's different than what you're used to.

Grew up in N.O. my parents use to take us skiing in breckenridge every Mardi Gras and I fell in love with the place. I was in Chicago working for Deloitte and did some work for a small start up in Boulder and they hired me. I was employee 26, we grew the company to $110M and McKesson bought us for $1Billion - did well and have stayed with MCK.

Does it matter to you that we could do better?
name the team that can't "do better" over the course of 5+ seasons.

failing to recognize when the clock starts and stops
pretty much every coach has at least one mistake in the substitution aspect in crucial situations every season. why is miles treated differently? saban used to get the ball back with ~2 minutes left in the first half in a close game and sit on it. that was incredibly frustrating. for some reason, he gets a pass for this while miles gets grilled.

your team implodes against Ole Miss, Penn State and Tennessee
at least miles hasn't lost to uab or ulm. you should be getting the picture that for every bad thing you mention, there's going to be at least one good thing i can say in response.
