Dennis Dodd's article on CBS Sports website
quote:

You don't shoehorn in a game in the middle of hurricane as a competitive convenience to LSU. You don't force Florida players to get on a plane not knowing what they'd come back to.

Conversely, LSU, you don't get to dictate the terms of the game because your stadium is open.

There are ways to play this contest and they are fairly simple. Both teams play lower-tier teams on Nov. 19. Buy out those games (FCS Presbyterian for Florida, FBS South Alabama for LSU) and play the game on that date.

No, let's shoehorn in a third road game in a row as a competitive convenience to Florida instead. fricking retard.

Moron yankee must think hurricanes just drop out of the sky one day, the way tornadoes do. No prior warning. Just showing his total lack of understanding-and he gets a mic?

So Miami/FSU can play as well NC State/Notre Dame? Or did everyone want to see Garth Brooks in Orlando singing "Calling Baton Rouge"??

Fortunately, from what I've seen, this moron's viewpoint is in the extreme minority.

The general consensus is that he carries a HUGE anti-LSU axe that he grinds almost weekly. It's almost pathological.

Dodd is a moron. He probably doesn't even know that we're scheduled to play @ a&m on Thursday following that weekend. Even Danielson on CBS expressed concern about LSU players having to do that and playing that many road games in such a short period.

I don't think Dennis Dodd has written a legitimate article in 10 years. He's a cheap version of Skip Bayless.

What a sorry piece of shite! Funny that I don't remember any of these articles in 2005 when we moved to Arizona State for a home game.

The burden is on UForfeit, period. They could have moved the game anywhere or kept it in Gainesville and played today or tomorrow.

The Miami/FSU players didn't seem traumatized last night, so I don't see the issue.

These idiot media people seem to forget that we live in a disaster area right now! Thousands of people are still not back in their homes! Don't tell us what it's like after a storm! The first thing you want to do, is get back to normalcy as soon as possible.

Seeing as how there is a tremendous amount of shared revenue from the bowl games and SEC network, could the SEC pony up and buy out South Alabama and Presbyterian to get this game played?

It seems there is enough money to go around and that there should be a contingency plan for if/when weather forces the cancellation of a game.

It's funny how people expect LSU to give up their home game because UF didn't have a contingency plan.

How can it? All that can be said is "we ask you to strongly consider". But it is not a matter of "you will ________ whether you want to or not". LSU can simply say "piss off" in response to that.

Did this fool just suggest that LSU were assholes to suggest the Fl team evacuate a hurricane?
