Lets face it guys, this defense is either young or inexperienced or both. I hate that we keep hearing it, but it's true. Just watch the games. I think we are so used to reloading that we lose sight of the difficulty doing that.

You don't lose all those defensive starters, especially juniors and just reload. 3-4 juniors leaving, ok maybe so, but even that's difficult. Think about this....if no sophomores or juniors would have left early...this years defense would look like this....

DE- Sam and mingo
DT- brockers and Logan
Lb- minter/barrow/kwon?
CB- Matthieu/Mills?
S- Reid/Loston

This defense will get better but it will be too late when they do. I'm hoping we retain some juniors this go round but I can see ego and Johnson leaving early

The troubling thing is the slightness of any improvement. This is more of a statement of players gaining experience then responding to coaching.

I don't think the depth is there to run a consistently elite program. It's up and down, and many recruits haven't panned out. After 2007 there was a drop off, then a build up, not another drop off. Alabama is the only team who has been able to rebuild and reload at the same time.

here is the reason. see bama and auburn propsects contributing big time while only white and robinson are listed here. talent evaluation and development has been a problem

You guys act like no one gets upset in college football. I'm not happy with the result of this past weekend but it happens and wont be the last time. It's frustrating but I'm curious as to what other program besides Alabama you would aspire us to be. Name me another program that has had more success than us these last 5 yrs. it's a small small list. Look at some of the marquee programs that are struggling. USC, Texas, Florida.

I don't think ego and Johnson are ready, but that doesn't mean they won't leave early. As for improvement, I stand by my statement, but it likely won't be seen until the end of the year or next season.

Who in the SEC would have lost to OM on Sat night? Serious question. BAMA, Vandy, Fl, Ark??? What other team would have given OM injury depleted team?? MSU?? They beat Vandy by 4 full strength, lost to BAMA, AU, and TAMU with somewhat better injury status RIGHT BEFORE PLAYING US. So who else would they have beaten Sat night?

It's time to get the young guys some meaningful snaps. Playing welter and loston 95% of the snaps is not helping. This is on coaching.

Anthony Johnson is such a dud in the middle he might make one play every three games

so if that's the case, why not take a few chances, blitz more, play aggressively, instead of this utter GARBAGE we're seeing that supposedly passes for a gameplan?????

Ole Miss was UPSET by AU to start things off

Ole Miss nearly beat TAMU

Ole Miss could have easily put up 12-28 points on Bama if their head gets out their arse.

Ole Miss had a monster class come in.

Ole Miss played their hearts out against LSU.

Ole Miss picked off Zach "We have more than 2 recievers?" Shittenberger, 3 times. They had just had 2 three and outs and defense looked fine. They don't score 17 in the first half if Zach plays Qaurterback instead of Hero.

We got upset. Have faith in the team you "love". I'm sorry we aren't competing for the Super Bowl every year like you told your best friends we would.

what game were you watching? I saw the Alabama defense crowd the line, bring pressure, and make Bo Wallace look like what he is - a mediocre college QB who will be selling insurance or financial plans after he graduates from Old Miss. I saw the LSU defense sit back and allow this mediocre QB get comfortable in the pocket and have a statistical windfall, thanks to bend don't break, only rush 4, 3rd and Chavis. That's the simple truth.
