I just don't know why you continue to push Farrell at DE in spite of everything coming out of the team. Then you bench Tyler Shelvin in the 4-2-5. Dude, Tyler Shelvin is the second best player on the defense after Stingley.
The third defense should be a dime package.

Base 3-3-5 is wrong!
T. Shelvin is THE BASE in that defense.

I wish you geniuses would stop with the misleading depth charts until we find out what is going on, because you guys are never correct or even close to being correct.

The coaches have pretty much outlined most positions this offseason

You are taking all the fun out of it for all the Ultra Fantasy League coaches who got nothing to do!

Yeah, but they didn’t get to see much of them during the spring, and they don’t know what kind of shape each will come back in. There will obviously be some moves/tweaks—especially at DE/DL and the OLB spots—but I think you and the OP both did great jobs with the limited available knowledge out there.

If Anthony and McClendon are really ready to step up and contribute significantly (if not start), that would really turn that DE position from a weakness to a strength and allow them to get creative with Ferrell and Logan and be able to show multiple fronts. A few other thoughts/questions:

1) thank god we got Cox—I’m not loving our OLB depth

2) I don’t know what to think about Gaye being 3rd or 4th string (if he winds up there)—hopefully it just means the other guys really stepped up and are too good to keep off the field.

3) Is there still time for Cherry to break out? I was really excited about him. Can the light still come on or is he just who he is at this point?

4) anybody know the latest on Hampton’s injury? Wasn’t it head-related? A lot of folks have him either starting or in the 2-deep, but I remember the last thing I read on him was that he wasn’t even close to getting back for baseball, much less football. I really hope he’s good to go

5) seems like we have 3 very versatile guys who can play all over in Stevens, Cox, and Brooks—can Pelini be creative enough to figure out how to use all 3 and take the most advantage of their athleticism?

6) if that 2nd corner (Flott, Jones, Ward, Ricks, whoever) steps up opposite Stingley and can be trusted to play man, we are going to have a shite-ton of sacks and turnovers.

Oh, I know. I’m on your side. Just thinking out loud on some of the potential changes and the dominos they might effect.

I’m worried about the pass rush at DE. I know Pelini will attack and blitz but it would be beneficial if the DL could get a pass rush without needing to send extra defenders.

I think Ojulari is gonna make it tough for Pelini to keep him off the field
