he man that is still rolling along with another damn strong team getting ready for 2016.
I think we have differing opinions about "rolling along."
The dude could have easily been fired and is on the hot seat this year. Long story short, we have way too prestigious of a program and are way too talented to lose to teams less talented than us consistently. I can see teams like Ole Miss, Miss St. and Arky jumping up and stealing a game from us every 4 or 5 years. But we have lost 1 or 2 games every year since 2011 to teams we should be beating.

We certainly have a difference of opinion in what rolling along means. The man wins games ,recruits, hires coaches and gets his players prepared for the NFL as well as anyone in the country much less the SEC. Whete he earns his paycheck.
P&G glasses ? Really, how about being a realist.
Thats the thing with longevity in a very competitive field. You have good runs and not so good runs, it is what it is in big time team sports for coaches and players. 11 years and counting in the SEC west , may not be duplicated again at any school not named Bama in our lifetimes.
You damn right hes rolling along.
I take it you two have been in the top 10% every year at your chosen field or academia for 11 straight years?
Compare him to his peers at least!
Yes he has flaws, but his peers have way more.

Please shut up moron our team has had one good season since 2011 and the coaches blew the title game.

I respect that. You're a big picture guy and that's fine. All I'm saying is that the people who criticize Les Miles--he manages the clock poorly, he can't develop a consistent passing game, he doesn't have a plan B....you have to admit they all at least have a point. And that, to me, has nothing to do with loving or hating the man.

Who cares about Ohio St.?
And yes, winning a championship the year prior should get you a pass.

Fair enough Mr Nix. Without a doubt, he's no QB guy. Its his achilles heel and he must have a QB developer and passing game coach to ever be at the very top again on a consistent basis.
I will challenge the managing clock reputation. He has done as well as anyone in the SEC regarding this the past 6 years. I think its safe to say he has figured this out after being terrible at this at one point.
And thats why he he has lost 4 and 3 games these past 2 seasons. He used to be able to get away with it because the rest of his players were so much better than the competition. But, other teams have closed the talent gap and these tight games are won by the team with superior QB play more and more. Les has got to either get more production out of his OC or figure out how fo get a stud 5 star QB to leave his state and come to LSU and hand the ball off and watch the team play great defense. Most arent going to go out of state and not be the focal point of the offense. I wouldnt.
Because it seems Louisiana has quit developing SEC caliber QB's and Les isnt going to change his philosophy. He Is steadfast on this.
Most of the great coaches have been faced with the competition catching up at the exact same time a key coordinator left or had poor QB play , a rash of injuries in back to back years or something else just as critical coincide. Also, a terrible AD comes to mind.
But im betting on Les to adapt and figure it out. If he doesnt get better QB production the criticism wiil continue and justly so.
But hes trying to find a good QB for his great teams. He has looked under every rock from coast to coast and landed Cam Cameron, who at the time was the # 1 guy available on paper for Miles to convince to come here. So he clearly saw the storm coming.
But someone, that I admire, once said: " when did trying count."
Cheers

Urban beat Bama with those players...I swear do some of you who try to defend our coaches even think about what you're posting

He also quit. He also had as stacked a team as one can remember going into 2015 with the weakest schedule. He lost to an inferior team at home and got completely shut down offensively. Hes an offensive coach. He was terribly out coached and cost his team a national title game.
If u can read, i said he was a good coach and a great fit at ohio state. Ive been on record even before the 2014 season saying he will win as much as anyone at easy Ohio State including Saban. But he's no SEC coach and really omly lasted 6 years with a Heisman QB and both Miami and Florida State shitting the bed while he was there. You couldnt get him bak in the SEC with a crowbar and 10 million a year. Hes not cut out for that type of grind. Doesnt mean hes mot a good coach. If u dont know,
Im not bashing urban foitball mind , im saying lets keep it real. He wouldnt have won as much as Miles from the day he left until today in the SEC.
Saban showed up and so did jimbo fisher and no timmy tebows around to help him with dealing with the SEC athlete and the pressure these guys are under 365.
The man quit and hes football coach, think about that for a second before you crown him as some great SEC coach.

It's not championship or bust.... Just get us to a Playoff berth or BCS bowl game and the fans will be happy!!!! What ever happens there is whatever we just want to play in the games we feel like we are supposed to with the level of talent we have year in and out.
Bcs does not exist anymore. And the fans were not happy the last time LSU played in a bcs game.

in case you don't want to read it, Les didn't make the list...)
Yeah Miles only has the 6th best win % in sec history.
quote:
1.Robert Neyland, Tennessee: .829 (173-31-12)
2.Urban Meyer, Florida: .813 (65-15)
3.Wallace Wade, Alabama: .8117 (61-13-3)
4.Frank Thomas, Alabama: .8116 (115-24-7)
5.Nick Saban, LSU/Alabama: .802 (134-33)
6
Les Miles, LSU: .780 (103-29)
7.Bear Bryant, Kentucky/Alabama: .797 (292-69-14)
And he accumulated this great win % during the most successful era of SEC football, ever.
ETA: why would you down vote facts?

Do any of yall watch other teams? I don't really watch much cfb outside of the sec, but every damn coach in the NFL playoffs this season had horrible clock management and the team that won the super did it with defense, not throwing the ball.

The best coach in modern cfb(saban) with,by far the best talent (5 out of the last 6 classes have been #1), loses to an inferior team EVERY SINGLE YEAR.
And as you can tell by the pic i posted that the gap between lsu and ole miss is smaller than the gap between lsu and bama.

You have to realize that youre talking to posters that got most of their football knowledge by playing NCAA Football and Madden video games.
They are under this delusion that winning 10 games a year is easy when facts tell you that 99.5% of cfb teams cant win 9 games every year.

Our defense was garbage. We make excuses. Great programs don't make excuses they just win.

Wow. This is it. I believe that this is THE worst thread I've ever seen here. And as far as the win percentage miles has has done it all while going through tebow cam jonny and saban just saying
