What is the coldest game recorded in Tiger Stadium? The forecasted low for the 5th is 35 degrees. If that is a night game that will most likely be a very cold night.

That 35 degrees will come at 5-6am the next morning. A 6pm kickoff will be in upper 40's.

I attended the games against Utah in 1974 and 1976. I do not remember which year it was, but it was miserably cold for at least one of them./

It was 1974. I was in Tiger Band at the time, and those wool coats we wore that were so hot in September didn't keep us warm at all! I remember just as we were coming out for the halftime show, Sid Crocker said over the stadium PA,
"In case you're wondering, the temperature is 38 degrees...."
Of course, the wind was blowing out of the North rather briskly, so I'm sure the wind chill was even lower.

Brad Davis was the running back on that team at the time. We had a couple of classes together and were pretty good friends. In class the following Monday, he said to me, "I looked for you on the field after the halftime show, but not for very long--It was too cold!"

Ole Miss 1993 was really cold, in the mid-low 30’s if I remember correctly.

ETA: They missed a FG late and we won 19-17 the week before the Alabama upset.

I remember staying till the end of that 2002 Bama game and surprisingly the student section did not empty out. Those were the days when the fan base was not spoiled with success. The 2001 Auburn game was pretty cold as well. We won the SEC west that night and rushed the field. Good times indeed.

It makes a real difference whether you are sitting in the South or the North End Zone.

I sat in the South End Zone for LSU-Ole Miss '93 with a bunch of Ole Miss fans and that was the coldest game I've ever experienced. That was a great win that started a three game win streak, at a time when those kind of streaks weren't common. The temp was in the 30s and it was in October. Pretty crazy.

I sat in the North End Zone for the LSU-Auburn game in 2001, and, even though the temp was probably the same as LSU-Ole Miss '93, I felt much warmer. I do need to point out that I was stationed at Ft Campbell, KY, at the time and may have become more accustomed to the cold.

I (my dad) had season tickets in the North End Zone from 1995-2002, and I went to pretty much all of those games, and I don't remember being cold (to the point where it was uncomfortable) even once. I've only sat in the South End Zone a handful of times, and I can remember freezing my arse off twice (LSU-Ole Miss '93 and LSU-A&M 2013).
