I swear these O supporters are so dumb man Lmao. I’ve heard so many stupid arguments supporting him:

“He won 9 games!”
Sooo we fire a ten-win coach for 9? Also this was a veteran team with the easiest LSU schedule ever and still lost 4.

“Les Miles left a mess!”
Lol it wasn’t perfect but o had a decent QB who only threw two picks and one of the best backfields in the country with talent littered all over the field.

“The team was so young!”
Yeah we had a few freshmen but, most of our starters were 3 years in or more including our QB top two backs 4 of 5 OL, TE’s, FB and a few D lineman.

“How can you support your school without supporting the coach!”
Ummm I think that he is going to cause us to become irrelevant and lose tons of game and turn this into a rebuilding job. Also I would literally eat a crow and livestream it if he ever wins a natty here and I’ll do it happily, because I love LSU.

“We couldn’t hire anyone better no one wanted to come! Herman and Jimbo were never coming!”
Herman and Jimbo would have came if we had an administration with a pair. It takes bold moves for bold hires. And okay let’s assume we couldn’t get them to come, you mean no hireae coach in the country is better than Coach patatO? Lol

“The players love him!”
Yeah players usually love their coach and will go to bat for their guy. That’s why players don’t hire coaches.

“He’s from Louisiana! Dream job!”
If you name a qualification I can name about myself it doesn’t count.”

“He’s a proven recruiter!”
Recruiting as a position coach and recruiting as a head coach are VASTLY different. Head coach recruiting is all about pitching your accomplishments, which O is severely lacking in. Saban flashes championship ring. Ed is a potato. And that was proven this recruiting cycle.

“It takes time to rebuild!”
LSU wasn’t a rebuilding job. We literally had top-5 talent and two once-in-generation backs when he took over. I’m not wasting my time talking about how talented this team was. Also historically speaking great coaches typically come in and have a positive impact year 1.

“Canada was holding him back!”
Wasn’t that O’s hire? O had a massive budget to hire whoever he wanted so if Canada was a problem that’s his fault exclusively. Also O meddled and cost us the most embarrassing loss in school history.

“I’m tired of all you nega Tigers!”
Okay so we want change from the current. If you wanna shut up the critics go win some football games. The negativity is a way to ensure the bar is not lowered. At LSU greatness should be expected and the standard. This has been an abysmal off-season for LSU, and the season looks like it’s going to be tough. We shouldn’t be happy. Accepting medriocrity is the first step to never being relevant again.

Tl;DR Orgeron is a potato and his supporters are doing long-term damage to LSU.

this is one of the most annoying arguments. for years the miles haters were saying, "anyone can win with our talent". now that anyone has the job, they are saying that O inherited garbage.

“He’s a proven recruiter!”

how hard was it to recruit to USC and Miami both in their heydays? also, what look at the violations that occurred at the schools O was at.

Again, not an O supporter but most of your debunking is bunk. I think you O haters are 10x the poison on this program than the O lovers. If he can't get the job done he'll be gone. Just stop with the hate, man.

Debunking arguments is not the same thing as "hate". Calling someone a "hater" for disagreeing with you or saying something you don't like is closer to actual hate.

Just stop with your hate, man.

So if the fans don't continue to hold him accountable for bold face lies, spinning stories in press conferences and broken promises whats the point?

Sorry, I gave him his shot this year and it has been a CLUSTER frick with him as HC. I repeat, CLUSTER. frick.

Don't believe everything you read in the rant. The truth lies somewhere between the O lovers and the O haters.

Good post, but you do realize that you will start a whole bunch of hissy tantrums and be called many names just because you disagree with the Cheerios, don't ya?

Oh no my friend, I have listened to every single press conference. (and I don't believe the bullshite from people like TenthTiger who come here with their "sources").

The writing is on the wall this year. I hope more than anyone we make the playoffs and bring home a natty, but I honestly do not think Orgeron will be able to handle the pressure this year will bring him.

Miami, Auburn, UGA and Bama is a gauntlet, and teams like State and UF will be much better than last year...

Here's one...what was Jimbo and Herman's record last year? And would any of those records been acceptable for LSU with either of those 2 coaches? If there is no improvement next year the seat will get hot. No use getting all insane till next year

O is our coach and loves LSU. In a dark alley, he'd kick all your wimpy asses.

...'oh, but he let a couple immature, simple minded 4/5* recruits get away' - so what - I think we're always better off when we dispose of those types of recruits.

I am not trolling. Can you define these two phrases please?

I, for one, think its possible to be critical of the program, while supporting the team.

For example. How does someone like you who "supports the program, unlike the haters" deal with it when Orgeron is on the podium yesterday saying that "The plan all along was to save those scholarships in case we need them" when its clear we missed on the athletes we targeted?

Or how do you deal with it when he says "we will hire the best coordinators in college football" and we end up with Steve Ensminger (bless his heart) as our OC?

Or what about when he says "I will let my coordinators coach, and not get involved in their game plans" then admittedly sticks his nose into Canada's scheme during troy, and stopped him from using Brennan in the State game?

Do guys like you just keep your mouth shut and take it until change happens and he fails completely? Or is there a way that you suggest to be critical and hold accountable without being considered a hater of the program?

Honest fricking question.

O looking like a moron and hiring his buddies is the problem. You just better be thankful he inherited Aranda.
