1) Pevato joins Bo at Nebraska. They were drinking buddies.

2) Mallory stays on the staff at his previous position coach position. This one is tricky because HE may want a fresh start. Miles leaves it up to him.

3) Tenuta becomes a candidate again. Weis will be fired after a USC arse-kicking, and Tenuta will be available.

I bet it's dangerous to be a drinking man in Nebraska. So damned cold up there that there's probably not much else to do but drink all the time. They'll end up looking like Bo after the NC everyday.

Oh, he will be fired. The arse kicking we'll deliver tomorrow will gift-wrap any Charlie Weis staffer to anyone that wants them.

But are you sure that you really want Tenuta?

i never said I did. And I never said ND wouldn't get killed by USC... I just don't see Weis getting fired this year. Huge buyout.

All relative. ND is a cash cow. Not as big as reported.

It'll cost ND some cash, but it'll happen anyway.

Shoot, what's $5 million bucks when NBC's paying the bill?

Isn't he the one with some sort of bad blood/past problem with LSU? I've read that either here or in the paper but when I've asked about what happened no one ever replied. Could have the wrong guy BUT I do know there's someone mentioned before that maybe Charley & Gordy mentioned bad blood/past problems.

???

He is supposedly hard to work with.

Miles and Bo didn't always get along. The yes man approach is not working.

If it was $5 million he would already be gone. However, It's upwards of $20 million because they gave chalupa an 87 year contract.

Who would Pelini get rid of at Nebraska?

I'm not sure Miles will go after Tenuta, he had the opportunity last year to hire him and didn't go that direction.

There are others.

Quote on ESPN yesterday said that his buyout would not determine his job status. IMHO he is toast, especially after the beat down USC is gonna put on them.

Charely Strong. I know the chances are next to zero but the guy's got as much going for him as any other candidate I can think of—PLUS he's probably one DC who's got a headful of schemes against the spread and spread-hybrid offenses that are emerging in the SEC today. You want to know the one defense that could give UF's offense fits? Charley Strong's.

Sure....why not? Worst he can do is tell us no. He may be up for some head coaching opportunities and if he is not, Meyer and UF would likely sweeten the pot to keep him...but it's worth a try.

We've got to have top notch defense.

And why would he leave UF for less than an HC spot?

Coordinators often make lateral transfers for more money.
