If he leaves, hire the DC from Penn Stste. He is from LA.

Have we discussed which unqualified dinosaur assistant O will beg to take the DC job if Aranda leaves?

Aranda’s a detail guy. That’s what makes saban great, and why Les and coach o are not on that level. Too many little mistakes add up to cost ball games.

He'll promote a position coach after an exhaustive search.

Texas Tech can kill a coaching career. It is difficult to recruit there, at least to recruit 4 and 5tars. It might not be a big payraise either. Plus...LUBBOCK!

Dave Aranda defense has given up too many plays for a lot of teams, look at record and even cost games

A defensive coach is not going to take a HC job at one of the worst teams in the Big 12. That would be career suicide.

Texas Tech would get blown up and Aranda would lose his perception of defensive prowess. TT doesn't have the dudes to defend Big 12 offenses - doesn't matter who's coaching defense.

North Carolina is open, and I bet Maryland will be open too. Maryland has money to blow and just waiting on the right guy. With his defense and a half decent offense, he could win 8 games a year there.

With their offensive tradition, I don't see them going after a DC.
