It's pretty obvious that posters on tRant are lying about LSU's policy compared to the rest of the league.

Personal responsibility exists.

Yes it does, but that's not the point. Should our student athlete's "personal responsibility" be greater than Kentucky's, Bama's or any other SEC school. We're trying to win football games, not get into the seminary.

I'm not allowed the smoke pot and do my job. Pathetic making excuses for people with no self control. If your ultimate goal is the nfl and getting high is worth screwing that up. Looks like a good way to weed out idiots with no priority system.

Ok then, so you’re saying go to Alabama, smoke pot and make it to the NFL while winning SEC and national championships along the way too? C’mon boomer, it’s 2022. This dinosaur administration needs to get in this century.

Rosenthal is a more Jewish surname than German, but could be both.

It's not a myth. Alabama had kids busted with weed and guns and they missed 0 games.

All the rant is asking for is to level the playing field. Play by the same rules as the rest of the conference.

Sure, many times. And everytime I was caught I paid the fine, including to a Sheriff's wife in a small town in Georgia. It was a speed trap of which Georgia was notorious in those days.

Players could take a break from the NONADDICTIVE illegal substance while on scholarship.

I know. A novel concept to expect a modicum of self-discipline. I mean...the nerve of a school to enforce A CLEARLY SPELLED OUT policy on scholarship student

F that !

Who wants to follow rules and shite?

I’m not sure a who’s worse.... players who willfully break rules time after time to point they get kicked off the team, or these stupid SOBs that post here that make excuses for them.

So typical and indicative of our society today.

The point you guys bitching about society are ignoring is if it's accurate other schools are more lenient, then we are willingly putting ourself at a competitive disadvantage by having an unnecessarily higher standard than our rivals. Save your society these days bullshite.

Shut the frick up

You probably have no issue with LSU prescribing players Vicodin or shooting up with pain killer. But take offense to eating a weed gummy to go to sleep at night.

“Just follow da rules!!” Like I’m sure this board fully supports all the dumb Covid mandates and protocols. Give me a fricking break.

Probably not. They would just put a small dent in my family members car as they will probably be driving 17 mph.

Every organization has rules. If someone doesn't like the rules of the organization that they wish to be a part of, they can always lobby to change the rules or simply find another organization that is more aligned to their beliefs but what you're suggesting is that people should just choose to follow the rules that they agree with and simply ignore the ones that they disagree with. That's called anarchy. If smoking weed is more important to these guys than playing football then maybe they should try to open a dispensary or something. Tons of money in that by the way. But if they want to play for LSU and LSU's rules are no pot, then they need to put away the bud. It's really pretty simple. To expect the organization to change it's rules to accommodate the people wishing to join is pure childish, entitlement mentality. For the record, I couldn't possibly care any less if anyone wants to smoke pot. In my opinion, that's their own business but every organization also has the right to establish and enforce it's own rules.

sure I've gone over the speed limit.

But if I knew that doing it would jeopardize my job, I absolutely wouldn't do it.
