He takes what the defense gives but he isnt throwing people open, or making huge plays on his own. He is hitting wide open receivers (most of the time) which is a big improvement

This is the definition of a game manager....

He's hitting wide open receivers because he's making the right reads. And just in case you missed it, that last TD to Chi was a BEAUTIFUL pass to a well covered receiver. He put it where only his guy could get it. So I don't think saying he doesn't throw guys open is a fair statement. He's no Drew Brees, but he does make some nice throws.

Dupre loses plenty if 50/50 balls, not sure what you're watching.

He used to be better. He actually looked better as a freshman.

The chi throw was nice and he missed fewer throws last game. I am not going to nitpick his performance. Id like to see him play well against a good team and ill be all aboard the hype train.

Etling can put the ball in some tight windows, so to say he can just hit wide open recievers just isn't true. He is a game changer and very good game manager. He does both things very well. He isn't just one or the other.

Some QB's you might say are JUST game managers. Some others you might say are JUST game changers. Etling has, like the other quality QB's in football, both attributes in abundance.

Jury is out in my opinion. We will find out a lot over the next month. Our offense was awful vs auburn and Danny wasnt great. I am not trying to nitpick but to say that Danny is a proven commodity against strong competition simply isnt true just yet. I hope he kills it
