They did abandon the run early and yes Fromm missed a wide open receiver in the first. The defensive adjustments later in the game made it a moot point.

Don't care what Danielson says. The UGa game is over and LSU whipped the dawgs asses.

It will be even worse next week when he fellates Saban, Tua et al all game long.
If LSU pulls out the upset they'll have to sedate him and given enough to tissues to make a parachute he'll be crying so hard.

From what I read we went from 2 safeties back, which they were successful against to 1 safety back and the other up playing the run. We changed our scheme, they changed to more passing as we had more men up and fewer back, and it didn’t work. We covered to well with our corners. They didn’t abandon the run, the were out schemed into more passing.
It’s called coaching football, and Danielson should know better.

It was as if Smart came in with a plan and he was not going to abundant it no matter what.

Well, maybe. Perhaps Smart’s plan was to run against two safeties high, and pass against a stacked box, because that’s what he did. Georgia had good rushing stats against two safeties high, but were struggling against a stacked box. So they went to the pass, which is what any coach not named Les or Bo would do. It didn’t work.

I’m sure, given the failure, that Smart wishes he would have run more, but he knows it probably would not have worked. He had a QB with a 73% completion percentage, and a defense selling out to stop the run. What would you have done?

What they all avoid saying is this goes both ways so the game is still a blowout

An example of what he said isn’t necessary. It’s pretty common knowledge that he is a tool.

They absolutely abandoned it after the game FG. Aranda coached a great game, but objectively that got away from the run before we actually stopped it. Saying that doesn't take away from anything we did.

But they did. Holyfield averaged 8 yards a carry and only touched the ball 7 times.

Except their QB said the reason they went away from it was because of the defensive scheme.

I’m sick of hearing about Danielson. Yes he is a tool. This is as bad as all the Sopsher threads. Who cares. If Sopsher wants to go to bama then go. I’m just tired of hearing about these two people
