Howard wanted to fight for the starting job in 2023 against Nuss.
He might not have won it but to say JD coming back didn't at all affect him leaving is just dishonest.
If JD left at worst he is the backup then transfers next year or maybe he beats Nuss out in the Spring with first team reps.
