Daniels, Nuss, Walker? Guess what, it doesn't matter.

The largest fallacy of this board is their infatuation with the what ifs regarding whoever the backup is, as well as completely forgetting that the 3 QBs currently on our roster will not be the only 3 over the next 2 years. We just signed a 4-star QB this year, and guess what? We are probably going to sign another next year. No one is guaranteed to be a starter here at LSU. Just because you sat around for 4 years doesn't mean an incoming Freshman or Sophomore can't take over or a transfer hits the portal who lit it up the year before. And in this NIL Day and age, kids want the opportunity to start and play immediately so they can grow their brand. And none of us should blame them. There is a lot of money being thrown around to some of these guys.

So, let's cool it down on who transfers and who doesn't. It's a new day and age with the free agent portal and NIL and some of you need to catch up with the times. We will continue to draw elite talent as long as we continue our success. Sometimes that talent will stay, sometimes it won't. Our coaches are going to have do their due diligence and not only scout the highschool kids, but also the potential transfers every year. And that's just how it's going to be.

And if they end up at another quality SEC team for the next 3 to 4 years?

don't know why the OP is getting downvoted, because he's right.

Rosters are fluid, and we can lose QBs or pick up QBs, either through recruiting or the portal (just like Daniels).

Trying to figure out what will happen a year or two from now is a fools errand.

If we're light on QBs, good QBs will be eager to transfer here. Hell, we had a bad QB room in the spring of 2018, and we went out and got Joe Burrow from the portal.

Stop the worrying and let the chips fall. The coaches will deal with it all.

These Ascension parish arm chair QBs don't have shite to do besides drink their beer, fight with their wives, and argue over the QB

you are correct OP, under BK this isn't gonna be as big of a worry bc of overall roster talent

Probably should have a stickied thread for ‘QB controversy’ to capture everyone’s thoughts in one place, rather than 15 posts a day on the same topic.

Nah, what you still have failed to realize is that no one we bring in who isn't starting is guaranteed to stick around. The portal is free agency now, and the ability to market yourself as a starter early is the most important thing. We are going to see a cultural shift from developing QBs, to taking the best transfer we can get if this cycle continues.

At the time of this post, we had 5 front page posts regarding who the QB next year was going to by, why it should be Nuss or Howard, or JD needed to enter the draft. What every single one of those posts failed to even mention, is that none of the 3 QBs being mentioned, are ever guaranteed to be here in 4 years, or even realized that we recruit QBs annually. So much worrying about 3 years, when you have no idea what the week holds.
