Daniels is not a “running QB”

He is a QB that can run. The fact that he will be faster than other teams opposing defenses sans maybe a corner doesn’t mean he can’t throw. It’s not a pie chart where running ability takes away from passing ability.

I like that you're trying to defend your argument from another thread on a new post

It’s like people think it’s like creating a player on old madden and NCAA games, where if you allot points towards running ability, that’s less points towards passing ability. That’s not how it is in reality. For instance Mahomes is faster than Mac Jones and a better passer.

Ha! He will be this year.

okay = pro style qb
not okay = scrambling qb

So if he isn't a running QB and he has accuracy problems should he be the starter?
Posted on 8/17/22 at 12:22 pm to NorthTxLSU
And the whole thing about “pro style” equating being a statue is outdated as shite. Are Mahomes, Burrow, Allen, Jackson, not pro QBs?

It's going to be a long 2 1/2 weeks.

If he cannot pass effectively he will be of no use. This is true of all QBs.

The offense will be built around the threat of him running. Call it whatever you want

True enough. But his passing ability is where he will do the most damage to opposing defenses. The fact that he can run is like a player that can shoot in basketball, that forces defenses to play him close and open up driving to the lane for easy buckets.

Except he is a running qb

He is an extremely mobile QB. If Tom Brady were all of the sudden able to run a 4.4, would that make him a “running QB”?

Who is a running qb? Name one so we can compare # of rushes last season.
Malik Willis' 2 seasons at Liberty?
2020: 141 rushes, 944 yds, 14 tds
2021: 195 rushes, 878 yds, 13 tds
Kyler Murray:
2018: 140 rushes, 1000 yds, 12 tds
Jayden Daniels at Oregon:
138 rushes, 710 yds, 6tds
Neither example is comparable to "running" QBs like Lamar Jackson
