That's how it works with a back like him ....The first half the opponent is full a adrenaline stopping LF for 3-4 yard gains with 9 people in the box..after 15-20 carries they get a little tired the rush is over then BOOM 87 yards, their will is broken....from then on its 7-8 yard gains which Guice took full advantage of

Convenient. All the homers seems to like to analyze and break down the context of the stats when it benefits LF7. I didn't hear many people pointing out that the 3 200 yards games are misleading because the first 2 came against bad run defenses and the 3rd came against the WORST run defense in the NCAA by a very wide margin. A defense that gave up 550 rush yards to Army the week before.

Didn't hear many people pointing out that what LF7 just did was done twice last year much more impressively. Once by Melvin Gordon in a 3 game stretch against relatively decent big 10 competition where he put up 200, 407, and 205 yards and once by Zeke against perhaps the best 3 game stretch of competition in the history of college football.

You can't claim he had a phenomenal game against EMU and South Carolina. Either look at it within the context or don't.

Yuk. Man, I'd keep that to myself. I shite myself when I read your post - figuratively, of course, not literally.

I noticed that Mouton had a few pancake blocks

Exactly! Mouton was blowing fools up. He blew two up at one time on one run.

That full speed cut he makes at the 17 is just nasty...

Yep. When they showed the replay from behind, the defender was in the right spot to make a play. He just didn't expect Superman to side step him at full speed and leave him in concrete.

On that long run for TD not only did he make the safeties look like fools on the cut at the 17 he outran 2 freaking corner backs that had the angle on him to the goal line. I thought is was a hell of a run that not many RB's his size could do if any.

Hell, one of the WRs was out there trying to make a block for him, and got left in the dust too. He is as close to unstoppable as you can get in the open field.

# of LSU games, November 23, 1893 through September 18, 2015: ~1,210 (some conflicting numbers out there)
# of LSU games with a 225 yard rusher, November 23, 1893 through September 18, 2015: 5

# of LSU games, September 19, 2015 through present: 4
# of LSU games with a 225 yard rusher, September 19, 2015 through present: 3

But yea, the "homers" are stupid for not realizing how unimpressive Fournette has been this season...

Not to slight him in anyway, but he actually didn't look as impressive, and he'd probably be the first one to admit that. We're used to him picking up chunks consistently. Outside of his long run, he averaged 3.7 yards on his other 19 carries.

A big physical SEC defense putting 9 in the box should be able to slow anyone down early. Les has always played the long game with the run, softening up the defense for bigger runs later in the game. He just let DG5 feast in these easier yards than LF7. We aren't playing EMU anymore.

People act like this is new.

You literally shite yourself? Unless you shite yourself for real, you need to look up "literally" in a dictionary.

He didn't look as impressive as he did the past 3 games. I'm glad a "off" still consists of 150 plus yards and a TD.

He was still the best player on the field, by far.
