At the college football awards banquet, PP was sitting about 10 feet away from Newton ... Fowler reached over and told PP that was as close as he got to Newton during the LSU-AU game.

Save your LSU d being over rated takes. LSU defense was hardly over rated. No one stopped Cam all year. Last 2 games were poor as well but injuries to SM99 and BT15 hurt in those games.

If I had to bet on a better pro career, I'd go with Peterson at the moment. It will be interesting to see how effectively Cam's game will translate when all the defenses are fast, cover effectively, and sometimes get into the backfield. Then again...

It's a college awards ceremony not the classless ESPY's. There is a certain modicum of decorum that should take place and not low-brow shots at athletes who are there to be honored, not roasted. There is a difference.
