I love LSU basketball and dislike him because I’m pretty sure he’s trying to sabotage the program. The old a-hole’s email signature is literally his resume of championships and tournament accomplishments he’s too proud to let someone else have the spotlight. He got his scumbag buddy Jones hired and he flamed out. I tried to speak with Dale once and he would have none of it and waved me off

Wow...so much to unpack here.

Do we have proof of this or is just a Tigerrant thing?

I think this is a mark of insecurity on Dale's part, but nothing else. Don't assign a motive to an otherwise benign activity.

It would be naive to think Dale didn't orchestrate, or at least encourage the Jones' hiring; however, is Johnny Jones really a scumbag? If so, I wasn't aware of it.

I had the exact opposite interaction with Dale in Shaquille's last year (1992?) while visiting campus with a sick friend. Dale was extraordinarily generous with his time and invited both of us into the locker room before and after the game. He also allowed us to sit behind the bench.

This is not to say that Dale is pristine and without fault. Maybe he is trying to sabotage Will Wade and the program. Maybe he is leaking rumors to Dick Vitale. However, many of the things you suggested are, at most, isolated incidences and don't give a full picture of the man.

Dale has been at most of Wade's games, not sure what the problem would be. Johnny had his chance, don't think Dale is worried bout his spot in LSU history. He's the winningest coach by a mile.

You didn't get the gist of my post, maybe I wasn't clear. I was referring to dorky v's source. I'm well aware Jordy is connected high up in the program. My post was about Cullota asking dorky if his source was dale or not. The geezer refused to answer.

Met Dale several times. He's one of the most accommodating people I've ever met.

I can believe dale dislikes wade. Seems like a giant leap to think he fed info to vitale to screw over the program. Cal seems more likely for that.
Only reason i can think browm would hate wade, would be that wade cut off browns program access or somehow blocked him from getting the court named after him

If Wade stays here 20+ years, he will be the winningest LSU coach-by a mile.

There's that word... if. I doubt Wade will see two Final 4's. Hope I'm wrong.

Maybe you're right, but it's a tall order to expect anyone to average over 22 wins per season for 20 years. And even if we're lucky enough to have WW 20 years, and he's lucky enough to win more than 22 games every-single-year, it is unrealistic to say he will be 'LSU's winningest coach by a mile". By a mile? How many wins do you think he's going to average over this 20 year period?

Sorry, Wade has virtually no chance of catching Dale. And Dale took the program over at the bottom.

People think Dale leaked the Cisse commitment to Vitale and that’s why he reiterated shite that was proven to be false.

You mean the same player that Jordy Culotta through his source, Will Wade himself, tweeted about also before Dick released his statement?

That wasn’t a secret that Cisse was more than likely going to commit to LSU and he more than likely still will. Not sure if you have been paying attention b there was a few other things going on in the country that had a lot to do with him delaying his decision.

He may go down as the best coach if he wins a National championship or goes to a few final fours but he may not even be the winningest coach if he’s here for 20 years and definitely won’t be “by a mile”.

“Keep your friends close and your enemies closer”?

I have no idea if it’s true or not. I was simply explaining the theory. I do believe it’s plausible, though. But so is the Calipari theory.

So did Wade.
So did Brady, and on probation as a result of Brown.

Dale may have his issues, but he would talk to a rock for an hour. So something seems off here. You usually can't shut him up. So I'm sure he didn't wave you off for nothing.

And I don't know his feelings on Wade now after all the Smart drama, but he said Wade had it all when LSU hired him.

Thanks for the post. I don't believe any rumor about Dale Brown. He has a high moral character. Lies all lies.

If the rumors are true, its possible he didn't always despise will. This could very easily have been before their feud started. I dont know...

But as I stated before, it just as easily be Calipari behind all of this.
