That’s certainly another reason for where they currently find themselves. In that case, i feel bad for their fan base.

Of course they use NIL. They may not do it to the same extent as other high profile P4 schools, but you don't sign and retain 4* and 5* athletes these days with zero NIL. They are also required by law to participate in revenue sharing, most of which goes to football.

They are in the top 20 for sure in NIL an revenue sharing. Now if he isn't lining up more funding, making good decisions, and embracing the system, that's on Dabo.

He will retire at the end of this season and Clemson won’t do much to try to keep him around

There is no money in Upstate SC. A BMW factory and a bible college and that’s about it. Who’s going to bankroll the team?

high school football where it’s more pure

Lol. High schools recruiting kids from other states now and paying their families to move. Google Thompson HS in Alabaster, AL, among others.

I agree that college football is broken. But you can’t be at a major program and not adapt and expect to win. If they want to do things the old way and just go to a low level bowl, that’s what the expectations should be and they should be happy being old school Texas Tech, Iowa State, Kentucky, etc.

I honestly think he’d be better off going to a lower level school where he can recruit and develop players the way he wants. Kinda like Ferentz at Iowa.

Don’t know why this board hates Dabo so much. He gave us 44-16 and I will always be grateful for watching him make a Saban-led Bama team look like it didn’t belong on the same field.

True. Dabo's mindset is that this is still a game for college kids that are playing for school pride.

Sure looked it. Does clemson not have a power game? TEs two RBs and actually run weak side. Motion? WR runs? Draws? Did they copy BKs offense lol
