Whoever wins the SEC Tournament is not SEC Champions. They are merely tournament champs.

D1 has LSU at 7 per your link. It’s closer than many of you want to accept
I've been downvoted to hell for pointing out that there are clear metrics that make LSU not a sure thing. Now I think it's 95% a sure thing at this point, but people are refusing the hear that 5%.
But you could have some west coast factors in play. You could have the SEC being capped at a certain number. We are absolutely in a good spot, but some helpful things would be: FSU, Clemson, Auburn, UGA losing early.

Wait so D1 drops LSU from 2 to 7 and raises auburn from 7 to 6.
We won our series and Auburn lost their series. What are they smoking?

Being at 7 means that you’re at risk of a team coming up and grabbing it. You’re on the edge. Oregon State doesn’t have that opportunity, so that’s a plus. I wouldn’t say being at 7 is an absolute lock. Why would you consider it a lock?
Being at 7 with 6 other SEC teams already projected.
There are no other SEC teams close to having a chance at being a top 8.
What you’re saying is the committee would have to go against every metric they use 1) conference wins 2) RPI 3) Q1 & Q2 wins 4) Series wins
To sneak in an Oregon/Oregon St?

Where are you seeing Hunt’s projections? He has not made the prediction that LSU will be a 9 seed but everyone in this thread is looking to be pissed off.

who is he and why should we care what he says?
But he's wrong on this take - click bait fail, Hunt.

It’s all for clicks and engagement.

I’ve heard of Palmer just being sarcastic.

Watch their live video feed LSU is 7 right now.

We are not competing with Florida State or Clemson or a top 8 spot. Auburn and Georgia sure. The only West teams we have to watch out for are Oregon State and Oregon. They would have to do some major jump throughs to have Oregon placed above us. They have 12 Q3/Q4 losses.

Except they did, according to their nerd cast.

I thought this was a link to Hunt's projection.

I would be willing to stake anything that LSU will be a top 8 seed regardless whether we win or lose on Friday.
Projecting us as the #7 seed and 6th overall in the SEC is really lowballing us. I’d believe we are the #7 seed if we lost on Friday but right now we’re more like #4 behind Arkansas, Texas and UNC.

Hunt has us as a 9 seed or higher.

Hunt has not made a prediction on wheat seed he thinks LSU will be. The OP made that up.

He was arguing that 8 teams have a better resume than us.

The committee would have to do some gymnastics to leave a more deserving SEC out for a west coast team or a second ACC team. Not saying I agree with it, but it could happen. I'd just rather then all lose. And while we are at it I'll take an LSU win Friday night to put this to bed.
