If we don’t host, hopefully we get sent to Vegas as a 2 seed

Miss State regarded by everyone as one of the best teams in the country

Hence why they didn’t play very well. National seed locked up, win or lose.

Imagine if some of those meaningless midweek games meant something. A 40+ win Tiger team is in discussion for a National Seed.

We could have won all of our midweek games, but if we’re sitting at 17 SEC wins, we’re not a nationa seed. Especially considering Vandy, UGA, MSU, and Arkansas are all near locks.

I know the home field advantage is important but I'm not opposed to going on road and avoiding a potential super regional with UCLA or Vandy.

That's who LSU will be paired with if they sneak into that 15 or 16 host site.

It sucked last year because LSU was one of last teams to get in and they got shipped out to OSU.

I think this year they might get sent somewhere a little easier as a 2 and maybe the Super pairing is a little easier.

You realize if we don’t host we will more than likely be sent to one of the weaker #1 seeds regionals and will still end up paired with one of the teams you mentioned.

When the NCAA went to 16 spots, one of their expressed desires was to spread the games around.

Maybe the selection committee will consider LSU’ s 17 inning game with the #3 team in the country ? We were undefeated through 9 innings last night. Playing 3 full games in a 20 hour period.

And we had 13 straight scoreless innings as well!!! I think we host and if not we wreck shite somewhere else

They haven’t really done that in recent years though. All the schools that have hosted from non-power conferences have all been deserving. A #2 seed hasn’t hosted in almost a decade.

A&M hasn’t scored in the last 2 games. Good grief.

Agreed. We win- we host.
We are competing with aTm for the last host site.

If we lose (hope not, but if...), wonder if this little nugget paired with us going 17 with a contender = the scale in our favor???
