Looks like if this stands lsu had a great year, also Daddy Mike at ole miss got a real shot to be in the cws...

Seed doesn't matter because LSU will be hosting a super regional if they host a regional based on extensive history.

10 out of the last 12 times and the last 7 times LSU's hosted a regional a team other than the host has advanced to the super regionals from the regional LSU is matched with.

2003 Baylor advances out of Southern Miss' regional.
2004 Texas A&M advances out of Rice's regional.
2005 Tulane wins Tulane's regional.
2008 UC-Irvine advances out of Nebraska's regional.
2009 Rice wins Rice's regional.
2012 Stony Brook advances out of Miami's regional.
2013 Oklahoma advances out of Virginia Tech's regional.
2014 Texas advances out of Rice's regional.
2015 ULL advances out of Houston's regional.
2016 Coastal Carolina advances out of NC State's regional.
2017 Mississippi State advances out of Southern Miss' regional.
