He's taken two teams built to win titles to Omaha in 3 years, 0-2 with a 3rd loss very likely.
No-one is ok with us losing in Omaha, you would be stupid to think that. But to even consider firing a coach, after 4 straight top 8 seeds, and two trips to Omaha, is beyond stupid.
BTW I'm not going to judge CPM on how he coaches in TDA based on 3 games. If we did that then you could judge our entire season on the Kentucky series.
We lost two close games in Omaha, to UCLA the eventual national champ, and UNC a team who had a better season than LSU. We had bad luck in who we faced in Omaha in 2013, we were two errors from beating UCLA as well.

It's hard to win it all in any sport and harder in baseball than any of the major sports.

LSU basically has to win a regional from the losers bracket. Do that and erase the loss. Then win two of three in championship like a super regional.

2 and que is not competing for a title. It just isn't. There are programs making it to Omaha and actually winning games more often than LSU. This program is no longer the standard of College Baseball.
As for cheering for the team, I'm still watching, and I would love nothing more than a roaring comeback. That, or a great run out of the loser's bracket. Just because I complain about the coach doesn't mean I want the team to lose. I'm not one of those.
