If we see a veteran soft tossing southpaw in the 2 vs 3 matchup, I’d definitely have Bingham in the lineup

Bingham in the SEC tourney: 1-9 4K --- .111 avg and .111 obp

In this month and last, Bingham is batting .130 (7-54), 19 K, .238 OB% against SEC teams

maybe Frey instead of the freshmen

Frey can't play center. He's a stretch in RF. If you platoon, you have to use Kling. His batting average against SEC in the last couple of months is MUCH better than Bingham. He's about .250.

That was definitely a misplay, even though I think it was probably one of those that’s really hard to read off the bat. Besides that, I think he played really good defense the rest of the week unless I’m missing something.

Two batters later there was a pop that he should have been the one to grab, but he was slow to move and Milam snagged it at the last second. Other than that inning, Brown did have a good tourney. I'm not advocating he be benched at all, especially if Bingham is the replacement. I'd take Brown over Mac any day no matter the matchup.

But if it were me I'd start Brown or Kling based on the RHP v LHP. When an opportunity presents itself, I'd let Frey go in to bat for the starter then stick the other in for the rest of the game.

Have you ever fielded a line Drive hit straight at you in the OF?

I didn't say it was easy. But as the starting CF for LSU, you have to make that catch and he wasn't close. Mistakes happen so we can't judge him based solely on that play. But there is a reason that he moves to RF and Kling plays CF when they are both in the game together. As much as this board doesn't want to believe it, Brown and Kling are neck and neck in batting average and on-base percentage over the last half of the season. Bingham is far below them both.

I think Brown is faster than Kling, after watching them both for a full season and he bats LH. Slight nod to Brown…for now.

"Paxton is the fastest player that I've ever seen.... " - Jay Johnson 4 days ago talking about why he pinch ran Kling for Milam. (15:10 mark)

Maybe Jay is exaggerating a little bit here, but I don't think anyone on the team is faster than Kling.
