So I've heard, look forward to meeting (and drinking) with a whole mess of them next weekend.

Minnesota has 6 recognized national championships: 1934, 35, 36, 40, 41, and 60.

Ah yes, the much trumpeted pre war National Titles. Very impressive. Now go find me five people who are alive today that witnessed those magical seasons. I'l wait…

The U has been a laughing stock of a program for over 50 years. Only Goof fans would put them anywhere near the level of Wisconsin at this point in time. 60 years ago you win hands down, but at some point recent success (and the 20 year run the Badgers are on is not exactly a small sample size) trumps past glory when determining who is a quality program and who is Minnesota.

And you're right MSU's #3 ranking blows UW's #4 out of the water. Clearly no comparison. But since you are such a fan of history it might interest you that UW finished #2 in 1963.
Best Rose Bowl Ever

And what is a meaningful ranking? Only #1 or #2? The Badgers have multiple top 10 finishes in the last 20 years.

I'll leave you with this since its been a while since you got to see it up close…

Thats cute. Using moral victories and downplaying another teams titles. Thats very "Ole Miss" of you.

That is certainly the rep LSU has. However you might want to take a swing by UW's campus on a sunny September afternoon before you declare it a landslide. Not to mention the obvious wardrobe advantage of 60 degree vs -20 degree winters.

Some easy counters.

Trust me, been up there and my best friend is from Minnesota and has a ton of family around Madison. He went to LSU, so we both have first hand experience.

Wisconsin boards

I will never get why anyone would want to go check out another teams message board... I have a hard enough time dealing with retard LSU fans on here, I'm not going to go full retard and deal with another teams I couldn't care less about retard fans as well.

As I said, only Goofs would suggest the two programs are comparable in 2014 because UMN won some titles before Pearl Harbor. The only 'title' season after that ended in a 17-7 beating by the other UW in the Rose Bowl.

Im not comparing them at all. Guess its hard for you to grasp the idea of moral victories and how that equates to Ole Miss.

Because we are fanatics and it can be entertaining to see how other regions/teams view your team. And sometime it is nice to interact with other peoples retards instead of sorting through our own tired boards. Thats why I do it at least.

I know nothing about Ole Miss so yes, the label is lost on me. I wasn't comparing them either, I am comparing the current state of the programs. To that end Minnesota has beaten Bucky exactly twice since 1995. End of discussion.

If that is the way you do it then that is all fine, but its the idiots that come and just troll or go to other boards and troll... It doesn't make sense to me. If you want to go have a reasonable conversation that is fine, but when people come to this board or I see other LSU fans posting what they just had to post on other peoples boards it gets stupid to me. Its annoying filtering legit posts to post people are doing just to be idiots.

Totally agree. I come to talk football, not to dick measure but far to many reverse the two.

That's the whole point. It's entertainment for some of us who should probably be doing something better with our time. And there's always the hope that their tards are worse than ours.

I agree. It's great when you have other fans come in and there is an intelligent dialogue. You definitely don't want idiots trolling other people's boards and having their fan base think that they represent the rest of us.

Personally, I love the people of Wisconsin and the state itself. Been there many times and have always been treated well. As a matter of fact they remind me a lot of Louisianans in that they enjoy hunting and fishing, eating and drinking, and talking football. I can't wait to make a return trip when the Tigers play at Lambeau. The Door Peninsula and Paul Bunyan's in the Northwoods are calling my name. Good luck to the Badgers this season with the notable exception of the first game.

One thing we can all agree on is that these games should have been Home and Home.

Michigan State won the National Championship in 1965 and 1952 and finished second in 1966. Wisconsin has never sniffed a national championship.
