Nope. Just nope. You don't get to root for two teams just because you went to a school that wins championships and sucked you in.

God this is dumb as frick. And I say that as someone who grew up cheering for LSU and went to LSU and have no other loyalties.

Until they have a schedule like those in the SEC West face each year, we'll never know how good they really are. In 9-10 games, they're up by 4 TD's at half, so they can play and develop backups and 3rd stringers. More importantly, they rest their starters and avoid injuries. There's no grind like SEC West teams have each year.

ACC is the weakest top to bottom power 5 conference. The key to a Naty is making the dance, and today this means becoming a top 4 popularity winner. It’s easy for the current ACC strongman to be selected because their conference schedule is easier than a SEC one would be. It’s easier for a good coach to create a national championship caliber team in this environment.

This is why Jimbo’s departure is indicative of the actual scope of the dumpster fire he left at Florida State to join the toughest division in NCAA football, the SEC West.

The only thing I think about with Clemson is the fact that little did I know, when I attended that bowl game in January of 2013 that I was witnessing an inflection point for both programs. Clemson essentially replaced us as a yearly national championship contender at that game. Our program started a decline (which I was in denial about at the time), and they began their climb to elite status.

I've said on this forum many times before, I remember coming on the Rant days before that game, and how all the LSU folks were looking down their noses at Clemson and lamenting the fact that we had to play such a weak opponent. Remember how everyone used to use the term "Clemsoning"? Meaning, Clemson was known for blowing big games. Remember the previous bowl season, they had been beaten by West Virginia, and how WVU put 70 points on them......................? And that was a WVU team we'd beaten during that magical 2011 season.

I'm not sure anyone even remembers any of that now. Now the tables are turned. WE are the program not on THEIR level, and they would probably look down on us if WE have to play them any time soon. Oh, how quickly things can change in the world of college football.

Dabo has done a great job. They do play in an easy conference.. they are in proximity of a great recruiting base. He transformed the offense about 6 years ago. The Campus is Auburn with a lake. Anyway. Attractive but remote location. I do not know who,is coaching and recruiting QBs but that is the difference. They have also established excellence on both lines.

I kinda like them as long as we atprent playing them. Hope they destroy A&M

One of the biggest benefits of cheering for both means that I got to prematurely feel the joy of my team beating the crap out of bama during this tough streak. Can't wait for LSU to do it again soon! It's even better than you think

if we could've recruited Desean and Lawrence we'd have won some more championships. Dabo has done a great job but his real genius is getting those 2 on campus.

even Les couldn't have screwed up with Desean.

Brandon Harris was closely rated to Deshaun Watson. It’s not out of the realm of possibilities...

You actually attend Clemson, so no qualms at all about your being a Clemson football at. They're a good program, on a roll, you're attending there while they happen to winning championships, and best yet--they beat Bama.

I like them because they are the team that is driving the nails into the Alabama coffin. Gonna sit back and enjoy Bama fans bitching about losing games and recruits to Dabo.
