Ugh, when you are calling a crucial timeout, you're pretty much supposed to verbally and physically assault the ref to make sure you get that timeout. You can't be a passive pussy about it.

Interesting, I'd like him to comment on this vid and see about the possibility of airing this video

Everybody at work laughs at my LSU degrees. Now our football cred is challenged. That was really all I had going. Miles burned it. I lack office cred now.
Well you can tell them to go frick themselves and ax them how many national titles they have won.

Do you have any decent video of Miles after the pass to Ridley? Regarding the timeout?
I don't think they showed him much after that. The dvr recording is at my brother's so I don't have access anymore

Make a thread about it. Catch his attention.

Miles looked up at the board and said we have a time out, like as in a question, then he said it to jefferson again, like a statement. then porter said it, pointing to the clock above the press box which did say LSU had a timeout, but joe rob shook his head and told Les he didn't have a time out. I was five feet from all that going down and have that on my mic.
I watched the replay tonight, I don't know what les mouthed, but if that's not the spike sign, I don't know what is.
Also, everyone is saying Les lied, I think that would imply malice, I don't think Les lied.
He didn't say he called the clock it call, in fact he never said it was called at all, he just said "you can't call it" "I'll I have to find out what the call was" and "I don't know who called it"
Being on the field, it seemed that the events were happening to fast for them to think about it on the fly. When the hail mary didn't reach the endzone they had no plan for what was next. That's how the game was lost or the last play blown whatever. They never planned on kicking, because it was in supposed to be to the endzone. When it came up short, I think it was a free for all, and I think a natural reaction would be to tell them to spike it, or make that motion. Then to see you have a second, get the kick team out there and kick it. Les did all that, but only after the play, the forethought wasn't there ahead of time.

That's why him saying he "thought the timeout had been called" is such an obvious admission of incompetence.
It's actually a TWOFOLD admission of incompetence.
1)because well, it's incompetent and
2)Because actually he is clearly unaware that "thought we had the timeout called" is a terrible excuse.
In other words, he's too stupid to even know it's stupid!!!
Anyone else making that blunder would realize after the fact and think "gee, I can't possibly admit that!!!"

What does this mean exactly, seems like two different points going on here

Sports2. What's your take on his "explanation" for letting the 20 something seconds roll after the Ridley completion?

It just seems like anyone who is not retarded would explain this like "I originally signaled for a spike, but after I saw the clock, we tried to send in a play." Or something to that effect. The sad thing is he signals and screams "clock it" after he looks at the clock, which is mystifying.

There was also the Jordy interview where he flat out said he didn't call it

Typically on a last drive like that, the field goal kicker is practicing his kicks into the net.
Nothing has been said about the special teams coach.
Where does he play a part in this??
