This is the most ridiculous coaching philosophy on God's green earth. Just plain lunacy! Why don't you win it in the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd quarters too?!! Do those quarters not count??!! And he gets a pass with this kind of mentality?? Did Ole Miss and TENN not teach Miles a lesson??!! God help us....

The WR screen was his,a play that definately became stale in LSU's offense.

Crowton goes on to pick ONE outlier year and says that is HIS offense....oh the bullshite, and folks use this information to condemn Miles.

MUDDLE HUDDLE...WACKY WILDCAT...let me give you a hint there Gary, there is a reason NOONE is doing the shite you waste valuable practice time on...it does not work.

We should thank Miles for keeping it from getting worse. Christ,if Crowton had been left to his own devices, who tha hell would know when we would have got folks lined up.

Chicago, Oregon, BYU, LSU....what do they all have in common? Sucking AND Crowton.

Except for 2001 of course. That is all Crowton.

If all these coaches admire Crowton so much, why did it take two months to find a place to dump him?

Well, there has been much debate over the years such as "why don't we throw the ball downfield early in the game?" Same exact thing when Jimbo faced Auburn's depleted secondary and with the same "win it late" philosophy. I don't think there is any doubt anymore where that is coming from.

Pretty sure what he was referring to was games against stronger competition.
Most games do boil down to the end.
If you are fundamentally sound on sp and defense then you will have the chance to win every game in the 4th qrter.
Tougher team usually does so,, that's what he meant.

Crowton always did well his first season or two no matter where he coached, then his offense's crapped out.

Same people that wanted JJ sent to prison for life are the same ones saying Miles cant coach, this is all his fault.

I'm starting to see a trend here..

If his philosophy was to be happy with Gary Crowton's crappy offense, GC would still be here.

Les invited him to leave because he's tired of having a great defense, a great special teams, and still having nail-biter games because his OC ruins every QB he touches except for 5th year seniors he inherits from the previous coach.

If this offense was anyone but Miles' offense, then how come it looks the same with a new OC as it did with Crowton?

Like it or not, Miles has a HUGE role in keeping the offense simple -- look at his resume before you talk about looking at Crowton's.

Crowton's offense sucked, that's probably the reason Miles had this philosophy. I highly doubt Miles' goal is to be good on defense and special teams, but bad on offense.

One thing for certain that was all Crowton was that Chinese fire drill that was his mass substitutions.

The UT debacle was ALL Crowton. I still cannot believe Miles didn't throw him under the bus for that fiasco.

Predictability by personnel and formation was also a Crowton gift, as well as a lack of QB coaching.

Hopefully we will see improvement in these areas this year.

Passing game past 4 years under Crowton...

2007 225 ypg
2008 201 ypg
2009 182 ypg
2010 155 ypg

Guess we will find out if it was Miles or Crowton once and for all who put our passing game under developmental arrest in '11.

Ok.

But I thought we played in the meanest, baddest, ms competitive division f the best conference in the world.

I didn't know we should expect to be up by 30 by half.

Y'all are just crazy retarded.

I'd rather the "30 point lead at half-time" philosophy. There's nothing like a good "Pillage and Burn".

Play with fire long enough and you will get burned.
