Smokey: Why you not goin' to work?
Cregg: I got fired yesterday.
Smokey: No shite? I thought you had the day off yesterday.
Cregg: I did. I went in to pick up my check, came home, O called me about four o'clock, told me he got me on tape stealing boxes.
Smokey: The frick you stealing boxes for? What you trying to build, a clubhouse?
Cregg: Hell, no, ain't got me on tape. But they said they did. Fired me on the spot. Talkin' about pressin' charges.
Smokey: Goddamn! You've got to be one stupid mfer to get fired on your day off.

Not a good situation at all. It’s likely Cregg isn’t the last to be shown the door before fall semester. I don’t know 100% what the exact violations are but wouldn’t be surprised if it cripples the program for 2 years when/ if the hammer comes down. Nothing nearly as serious as a death penalty but a possibility of future rosters being slim for a couple seasons. Hopefully Woddy is out in front of this and can keep damage to a minimum.
