It's been very nice to see fewer penalties overall. I know Seaton had a couple of uncharacteristic flags Saturday. But overall we look like a much sharper football team vs. recent years in terms of fewer pre-snap penalties, not having to blow timeouts coming out of timeouts etc. And the offense is clicking more now.

Offensive execution has been better vs. past years, even with a new roster gelling in the early season. And the pass rush actually gets to the QB more often.
Feel very good about winning the next two at home. I know, one week at a time!

I would argue out issues against running QBs has mostly been execution and personel

I’ve seen Baker put guys in place to make plays and the plays just didn’t get made.

Most notable example was a Read Option against A&Mm2 years ago where we walked Burns down to outside the DE. The DE played the run and The QB read
him and pulled the balls no Burns was there and just didn’t tackle him.

We have much better safety/star play. We have much better DL
play. and Dottery has been very good.

I was watching Chambliss’s highlights against us this year and he was just playing at another level.

Oh he’s gone regardless of what happens, he loves LSU but he’s proven himself enough for some big hunters to come calling.
In all Reality he’s a young, energetic, good defensive, players love him and very personable. It would be foolish to believe he’s here next year. Hope things were different but if he sucked we wouldn’t be having this conversation.

The defense is hopefully too talented to have another Milroe type game again. Auburn was too one dimensional to beat LSU. I still don't know how they beat UGA, but I hope they win out the rest of the season. As for LSU's defense, one play, they let one play by them, and I don't really know what happened on the last drive where Auburn scored.

Same here. Very good gameplan vs Auburn. I'm cautiously optimistic moving forward.
If we play def like this vs bama, then I will be a believer again in Baker.

This is completely false. He gave up 6 points in the second half against Kentucky. We weren't great in the first half giving up 14 on D but he adjusted. Our offense had the ball twice up 3 late in the 4th because the defense bailed them out and failed to salt the game away.
