If Maze isn't pressured by Mingo, I think the ball would have been thrown better and probably caught for the TD. Mingo made Maze rush the throw.

Sorry if this has been posted...I am still enjoying some of the replays of the game...

I was just watching that replay and had the same thoughts. If Maze steps into throw he leads TE and Reid does not get there in time. maybe..

Without a doubt. OR Maze would have run with the ball, thrown away, etc.

Funny thing is I only noticed this on the Hitler video this morning.

I def. agree Mingo was a factor...but would edit to "partial" credit. It was a helluva play by Reid.

And we gotta give props to Gibson for bringing over Reid too via his route.

After this was brought out in a earlier thread w/vid, even though it switched to the pass, Mingo was streaking down on him like a laser.... It no doubt had an effect on the play. A BIG effect...

Also have to credit Brandon Taylor for blowing his assignment.

The middle linebacker or leftside linebacker completely blew that coverage and nearly cost LSU the game, if not for Reid's great play.

Mingo is too undersized to be a stalwart at DE. Good role player, but not an overpowering defensive end.

Definately a good play on the Maze interception.

How about a shout out to the Alabama coaching staff that designed a play that brought Reid right into the play. I thought the whole play was poorly designed in that respect. If reid's guy runs a seam or an out, Reid is not close enough to "switch" who is he is covering.

Tommy Moffitt is going to give him a few more pounds, but not too much to slow his speed. Mingeaux is 6'5" 240 and just turned 21 years old!
He will be DOMINANT! Great players don't fit the traditional mold.

Here's how a few GROWN MEN in the NFL stack up-->
Aaron Kampman 6'4" 260
Julius Peppers 6'7" 280
Justin Tuck 6'5" 268

Wow. Look at the WIDE open receiver on the 25.

I never noticed this on the replays.

His highlight film from this year alone is pure gold. You can't help but notice him.
