I'm not going to. Instead, I'm going to recommend that people actually go listen to the interview to understand the level of dishonesty you are pushing. I don't need anyone to take my word for it. I'm absolutely willing to let them form their own opinion based on the interview.

You, on the other hand, really seem to want to get into a tit for tat on the words you chose in an attempt to justify your characterization of the interview. Very telling.

that he wasn't blaming Cade
He can say this all he wants but then he did blame Cade. Calling him out specifically with his lack of RBIs.

I took as him basically saying that he thought what they were doing was gonna translate just fine and that they weren't coaching the kids up anymore. Honestly, I think that may be even worse.
Yikes. That would be worse.

They can absolutely listen. I hope they do. But you and I HAVE and all you can say is that I’m giving him the wrong tone.

That’s telling.

I hope they do too. And, I think your reputation for offering rational, unbiased opinions on Mainieri should be based on that.

You think PM doesn’t get on the players arse? You might want to talk to some of the players

He absolutely does. He’s known for it. And Cade and Beloso can handle the criticism. No one should be worried about them getting their feelings hurt. Maybe Brady should since PM won’t even use his name.

But, I took as him saying that he thought Cade was gonna do better so the coaches hadn't been coaching him on what to do look for vs SEC pitching. As I said, it sounded a lot more like PM saying that he didn't prepare Doughty for the situation.

I can see that I supposed. I may listen again and give more details to the OP and add direct quotes.

In other news, did Russian die?

As I posted before, what really got my attention the most was at the very end when he said "I don't know what they have" in reference to Kentucky's pitchers. Whether he was simply referring to their velocity or not, that's not what I want to hear from my head coach the day before the start of a series that you absolutely have to win. He definitely didn't sound like a coach filled with urgency which is troubling.

I missed that exact part. I remember him discussing Kentucky and the new park and that they have a hitter there who got thrown out by Deichmann from RF in 2017. So he mentioned that they are veteran. Missed the pitching.

The next bat for Safford he will be batting below .100. Assuming he will get out, which is a good probability

My only comment on Mainieri. I think he is a tired elderly man who is mailing it in until someone fires him. No passion. Not doing the work for his team. I think he is tired and unmotivated.

That's my thing. He's essentially saying that he thought the rest of the lineup could produce enough to offset the duds in their for defense...and they haven't. It doesn't sound like he's actually willing to try a more offensive lineup, though. He just wants guys like Doughty to carry the load for duds like Cranford. I hate the idea. We were winning prior to conference because of shared contributions. I know, "SEC pitching"...we still don't even know what our non-conference lineup would do against "SEC pitching" because it's not our lineup anymore.

Clearly. It's pathetic that you choose the disinformation route instead of the 100 ways you can reasonably criticize him.

It's the world we live in, I guess. Embrace the rhetoric...ignore reality. Rhetoric is more powerful.

You haven’t disputed anything I said other than tone. Where’s the disinformation? Did he not say that Cade and Beloso were let downs because of their lack of production? Did he not say that he wished he had gone with Money instead of the “lefty that gave up 5 runs”? Did he not say that he didn’t know what to do when TBob asked what should be done to turn things around?

Nope was there in plenty of time. For example, you telling me you witnessed our pitchers working with our middle infielders on timing pickoffs at 2B? I never saw that happen once. How many times you saw them pickoff at 2B from 2018-2019. I'll tell you. In 2 years, LSU attempted 1 pickoff at 2B.

I think the interview itself is clear evidence that your characterization of the interview was intentionally misleading.

There is no need to get into a specific detailed review of your statements. The interview speaks for itself as does your post.

They don’t use a timing pick off at second. I wish they did but they don’t. They will back pick from the catcher though. Bunting, moving runners over, situational hitting, base running, things like that I have seen a bunch of at practice
