What some folks here cannot fathom is that CPM will coach at LSU as long as he wants. And his teams will contend in the SEC every year. He will NOT be fired or even eased out. And when he chooses to retire, it will be to LSU Baseball's detriment.

say what?

The top program in the nation just won a few games after losing what 5 straight? The program with one of the best facilities, with the most money and fans, took 2 out of 3 this weekend?

If we go by preseason rankings, this is a huge series win.

LSU Is 11-7 in the toughest conference in the country. Other programs try to win, too. Does LSU have some problems? Yes. But the season is only 55-60 percent complete.

Some of you “baseball fans” don’t understand the game.

The Rant’s opinion about a coach, a game, a player, or any sport depends on what they watch at the moment. Don’t take them too seriously.

Well said. And despite what knee-jerk idiot rantards think, this is 100% true.

I completely understand the game. This isn't the pros where everyone is dumping ton of money into it.

LSU likely spends more and produces more revenue than any other program out there. And probably after 5-6 programs there's a huge drop off. So, this parity everyone speaks of is a farce. There is no draft to keep it even and spread out the talent. You get out there and hustle and recruit.

LSU should never struggle to the point they are out of the top 25.

And while it is likely true, it shouldn't be. All coaches should have expectations. Competing well is not enough, especially for LSU baseball.

This hasn't been an issue for LSU baseball at all this year.

LSU hasn’t been out of the top 25 this year nor were they ever close to being outside the top 25 this year.

Wrong. Making it to Omaha is equivalent to the basketball team making the elite 8 (that's what Omaha is)
Wanting a coach fired that can make the elite 8 on a regular basis is acting like a spoiled little brat kid.

Took 2/3 from a team that had lost 10 straight SEC road games before Thursday?
