Paul does this often. He’s an a-hole and his players hate him
This is false. His players generally like and respect him. I was able to attend the 2009 team event last night (no special connection, just happened to get invited in), and the respect for Mainieri by his former players was very apparent. BTW, Renaudo is huge!

Based on what? The comments they made to a complete stranger (you), nor the statements made while holding a microphone are their innermost thoughts.

If JJ threw an interception it was his fault.
If Walker throws a home run pitch......?
It appears Walker had a night where he suffered from a lack of control. He is a control pitcher.
Bad night!

I don't have a huge problem with players being called out (as long as it's done in the right way) but as a coach you better make damn sure you coached a great game.

I don't recall him calling out individual players the way PM does.
You should probably have a doctor check on that long-term memory loss. It's often a sign of progressive dementia, Alzheimer's, possibly Parkinson's, etc.

My nephew pitched for Mainieri. He rolls his eyes every time he hears idiots say the players hate Mainieri. Now, he’ll tell you that there are a few. Jacoby Stevens is one, but that was because he was super lazy.
Jacoby Jones
