Could we see Deculus at LT if Rosenthal continues to suck?

He was beyond terrible Saturday to the point of embarrassment but do we even have another option? I can’t see Cam Wire being any better. Moscona just had a good point that last year we started Magee at LT against SEC teams when Charles was suspended for weed and they stated Dare against non conference pushovers. Deculus isn’t the lightest on his feet but he’s got by far the most experience on the OL and he played well at LT when he started against Southeastern in 2018. Someone like Wire or a freshman like Hill or Dumervil could be hidden better at RT.

He needs to lock down the RT spot first. I wouldn’t say he was on fire Saturday either. Cameron Wire should move to LT before Deculus.

Considering Deculus also sucked, I’m gonna say probably not.

Rosnethal, physically, was fine. With more mental reps he will be primed.

Rosenthal had the highest grade among the whole OL in pass blocking, he struggled run blocking. Deculus pass protection grade was a bit worse than Rosenthals. This is all per PFF grading.

It makes no sense to put Deculus at LT, he is barely a decent RT as it is. Rosenthal will be a good pass protector out on the left side, he is very athletic compared to Deculus.

Sad but our best LT is still a senior in HS. Dellinger would probably be a better option than Rosenthal.

He doesn’t have the footwork even for RT

What were the PFF grades for each of the lineman?

Dellinger not even our LT target in the class. That would be Tristan Leigh and Savion Byrd. Dellinger is likely to end up inside in college.
Rosenthal will be fine. We missed Cush more than anybody in the line and that's not a shot at Shanahan. We missed the leader to make sure everyone knew their assignments.

Offensive line coach is a joke. O line last year was not worthy of ANY honors. You do realize they gave up 35 sacks which is terrible. If not for Joe escaping sacks, it would have been over 50!!! Looks like we're right on track this year.....TERRIBLE.

We know that the offensive line had to quarantine for at least a week, so they're at least that far behind. Considering they probably had to ease back in after quarantine, they might be 2 weeks behind. They will need to make a jump this week mentally and physically, and another in the week leading up to Mizzou. If we see no improvement, it is cause for concern heading to Gainseville.

I don't think the offensive line was terrible. Brennan had more time than you think. Alot of things went into the loss, most of which can be put on the defensive side of the ball and early on offensively. The offense made strides throughout the game, but the defense got worse (fatigue on top of a bad scheme).

Throw Dumervil there so he can learn fast, as we might be playing this year to gain experience for the next 2 years to make a run
