I think that’s the first time in my life I’ve seen First Base abbreviated FB and not 1B.

FB? Football? I can tell that you don't know shite about baseball because your post tells me that in several ways.
First of all, the abbreviation for first base is 1B, not FB.
Secondly, Tre is a 1B/OF (outfielder) not a middle infielder (MIF). He is left handed (LH). Shortstops (SS) are not left handed.
Lastly, you have no idea what or where he projects as you don't even know baseball, so how would you know that.

Better question is can Thompson play 1st base? That’s the only position where his inaccurate arm can’t hurt us
