This game is the only game that day too.

BBVA Compass Bowl - Birmingham, Ala.
Big East No. 5 vs. SEC No. 9
Saturday, Jan. 8 - 11 a.m.

Did you really just compare this game to Cotton?

I don't care one way or the other which bowl we play in, cap 1 or cotton.

Cap 1: better buyout and higher ranked/better opponent

Cotton: much better facilities, possibly more viewers because of the exclusivity (being the only bowl on that day), and (my main reason for wanting it) I can actually make this trip. (IDGAF if you call me selfish)

So what. With the SEC split it really doesn't make any difference as long as another SEC team goes in our place.

The cotton bowl will probably overtake the capital one bowl in prestige and payout in a few years

More people watch the capitol one bowl than the cotton. It isn't really close either

This year, the Cotton Bowl is all alone by itself with no other TV competition. The nations eyes will be focused on LSU with no other distractions, so you better not lose to Texas A + M............
