why should jj be on the field when we are blowing out teams? LSU isn't a charity school, we need mett on the field getting live reps. JJ is the past, lee is the current with mett.
Who's to say JJ wouldn't be doing better? It's not as though our offense is the greatest to ever take the field right now. What is the deal with you people? Lee was the backup. The coaches watched them practice all year. They made their call. Lee is doing a fine job considering, but what the hell makes you qualified to say that he's great, but Jefferson should never see the field?
Just pulling it out of your arse?

Question for the legal eagles:
According to the affidavit following the arrest for second degree battery on August 26, no charges have been filed. Is that the DA's job to file the charges? And if the DA can't decide, he sends it to the grand jury and the grand jury's job is to review the evidence and decide if charges are warranted? If the grand jury doesn't find enough evidence to bring the charges then the whole matter could end there. Or the grand jury could determine the charges are warranted and then send it to trial. Would this be a trial by a judge or jury?
Is my understanding correct?

JJ was our starting QB in our coach's eyes and would leave it to HIS judgement as to what the right thing to do is when and if this is over. No reflection on the job Lee is doing.

So we should make Shep just sit out the rest of the year and take his redshirt? Wing should stay away after he gets healthy?

fricking exactly. LSU isn't a charity for JJ. LSU and les have done enough for him.
You're an idiot. If anything, you and the rest of your fricking clique have been acting as though LSU is a charity that owed Jarrett Lee "another chance".
It's not charity to allow the former starter to start if he's only been out for a few weeks.
Jackass.

We have to believe BRPD had intent to fabricate evidence against JJ, in order for there to be a reason for JJ to lawyer up.

I'm going out on a limb and say JJ is innocent, based on the videos I've seen. I dunno about Johns, I would hope he is innocent as well.

Dear god,the sentiment of the board seems to be swayed with every rumor and every "side of the story." I am sure the D.A. and Les Miles/LSU have information and will reinatate/drop charges if this stuff is true.
But every time one "side" releases information that bandwagon grows larger. It's pure comedy.

Do a slot receiver and a punter have as much impact on a team as the starting QB?

i honestly can't believe there are people out there that say JJ should not be reinstated even if the charges are dropped. This absolutely boggles my mind.
The world is full of miserable people. Unfortunately, I've been jaded by seeing so much in my lifetime. If the goal of life is to be happy, I feel like I'm in the lead.

JJ's little brother probably ends up at FL or AL because of this crap.
The family is disgusted with the BR Cops.

What bandwagon is that? The "I don't ever want to see JJ suit up again" bandwagon? You make sense at times. Other times, I wonder if you even read the fricking board. There's a 15 page thread a few pages back. Check that one out. This board isn't overflowing with love for Jefferson.
Of course you'd know that if you took your head out of your arse on this.

Way to move the goalposts.
By the way, I in no way want to take Lee out, but to say you don't want JJ back on the team--if charges are dropped--is illogical and based almost 100% on your dislike for him as a QB.

did anyone else catch the
"It was also show he worked a full shift"
Dont they proofread these things.
The OT grammar police would be all over it.

No, it's not charity. It's not realistic. I am not with the crowd that has burning torches and pitch forks ready to run JJ out of town, but I also don't think Miles would do that to Lee. That's chickenshit. And believe it or not, missing "a few weeks" along with a good chunk of fall practice means a bunch. It's not like JJ is Tom Brady and can just jump right in and start throwing 300 yard games.

I'm afraid this will happen too...and his little brother is an absolute stud. I know LSU is bigger than one guy, but he's one I really want to have.

On the other side; if JL throws a pick-6; you would probably be booing him.

All of these assumptions are correct. As far as a judge or jury, the judge presides over the case, but the defendant has the right to have a jury trial if he chooses to.

I could agree with Les giving him the option of taking a redshirt and coming back next year with a fair opportunity to win his starting job back in the spring.
But 4 weeks into this season...that ship has sailed. I just have the feeling that mere reinstatement to the team isn't going to be enough for JJ. He'll want his starting position handed back to him. And it could well cause dissension on the team when that doesn't happen, which isn't fair to the other kids.
