How about the Left Field Lunatics or whatever they call themselves now?
I was in the original group when they built the bleachers, but I moved away a couple years later. We made a mad dash out there every game to get the back row. Good times.

Baseball crowds in general suck pretty bad now. Once long ago, baseball crowds were awesome, but those days are long gone. The crowd at the box has not been the same since probably the mid-90s. Back then the box was great and actually packed with great fans. Now it is full of "fans" just looking to get noticed by small town reporters from the visiting school who they hope will mention them on his college baseball blog, so their egos can be boosted. The way the "fans" have acted in the past few years are pretty much an embarrassment to LSU and Baton Rouge.

hey theres still hope. you just have to find some down to earth educated dippin killers that are all about winning and having a good time in the box. the problem is they dont sit in the student section ( truth hurts ).
truth be told i like to kinda get to know the players. bullshite with em and such. thats why i love lsu....we dont suck....we are rich in history....and i think we let the players know we are more then just fans....
em boys are having the time of there life at a college baseball progam thats better then most AA ball clubs.....

Nothing beat the mid to late 90's crowds at the old box.. The 2000 midweek game against ULL was probably one of the better times I had at the box minus the almost riot that broke out between ULL and Lsu fans.. I believe that was the first year ULL changed its name from USL.. Their fans wore their penis envy Geaux Louisiana Beat State shirts.

If so, I don't know him as the wizard. I don't know the names of the guys I stood with at the top of the bleachers, but I do know we really passed off a LOT of opposing left fielder's BAD.
Our best work was the SEC hitting leader went 0/12 one weekend. He was visibly passed off and made sure to flip us off before he left. (MSU's Hagan?)
