That kid had three or four CRUCIAL plays last night that could’ve let the game go the other way. His coverage is excellent and he’s knocking the ball out of the WR’s hands after a catch causing it to be ruled incomplete.

Play on young man!!!

He and the entire DB room stepped up last night. Foucha also made big strides in his recovery.

The young man did some work but as a whole the backfield isn’t s great unit. 300+ yards and blown coverages and an arse load of PI calls.

300 yards coming from a handful of plays. They played great.
The Heisman QB threw 49%.
One INT.
One bad blown coverage and they thought the QB was sacked.
My only gripe would be the over the middle open receivers.

Saw him on field after the game last night. I went up to him and told him he was a lockdown corner. This entire defense really has some “heroes”. I’d throw Garner into that list. Brooks. Foucha, Burns.

He had more but he had like 3 that directly impacted the game. Converse has worked himself into a solid great choice.

I don’t know his story but why did he leave his old team? I’m very glad he did bc he’s one of my favorite dbs. Greg brooks hits like a Mack truck.

We simply don’t win the game without him.

Don’t short sell Garner. Coming from ULL he’s been a very pleasant surprise! The guy just plays hard!

He's from Shreveport and went to Evangel. I don't know for sure, but if I had to guess, it was probably he always wanted to go to LSU, didn't get an offered him, went to Ok St, LSU offered him in the portal, and he wanted to come home. Just a guess.

As far as, did he enter the transfer portal then LSU contacted him.. or did LSU contact him, and that persuaded him to enter the transfer portal then committ. I don't know.

Hes been such a beast. That opening interception completely changed the game and I think gave the team so much confidence
