Tommy Casonova Safety. The younger folks here don't really know just how good he was. His football instincts were off the chart.

Agree 100 percent.

Tommy Banks?????????????

Damn guys. Dude was ok, but nothing special. A nice run against Florida does not make you the GOAT. Quinn Johnson was much better than Banks.

And the correct answer is Josh Reed.

Tommy Casonova was also voted to the all century team in college football. Not the SEC in all of college football

Hell, I'd take Hokie Gajan over Banks.

He was the most versatile FB we've had at LSU. Quinn was freaking awesome...but he was really just a blocking back...and a damn good one at that.

But Tommy would play Tailback in our power goal line formations sometimes, he had good hands out of the backfield..

But here's the better question...if you could only pick one...

Tommy Banks
Quinn Johnson
Jimmy Taylor

I agree with this. Only one that has been nearly as successful has been Richard Dickson...and even he's not in the same conversation as LaFleur.

Way off again. Robert Royal has been in the NFL for 10 years now.

Chad Kessler holds the NCAA record for punting average for a single season (50.3 yds). So, I'd say that it's at least debatable.

I guess I'd have to go with Taylor. He is in the NFL HOF and is considered one of the all-time greats. But I would put Quinn Johnson way ahead of Banks.

OK...RB and WR are out of the discussion...there are too many great ones.

RB
Cannon
Faulk
Alexander the Great
Dalton

WR
Wendell Davis
Eric Martin
Josh Reed

Let's stick to the ones we might actually agree on.

I think he would have to be included over Lavalais.

Dorsey and Booger for the DT's.

LBs- Brooks, B James, Trev Faulk ?
DBs- pp, Casanova, LL, Webster
DL- Dorsey, booger, spears, hill?

WR- reed, Martin, Bowe
TE- lafleur, royal?
QB- jones

Just a few. Some can definitely be argued.
